So… Skolas resurrection potential barely affected the story, we get a deus ex machina for Mithrax and Nezarec’s curse making Nezarec story potential gone and as a final disappointment, Eramis, the same Eramis that nearly caused a second collapse, allowed House Salvation to be tortured by the Witness is now the Kell of Kells over Eido and Mithrax who’ve been doing nothing but helping his people in the most peaceful way were not chosen as Kell of Kells. This could’ve been a great story to finally end the Elinski narrative over 10 years of Destiny, but they choose the worst ending possible for it.

Should have literially just given it to Eido, this feels like a bungie writer looked at a reddit theory and was like "nuhuh" and threw out the concept out of spite. Fucking Erimas is the worse person you could have given it to. And don't get me started on Fickerals death. Unless if bungie can pull out a scorn leader and fallen leader out of their ass and somehow make it stick. Those two factions have no more room left to grow and bungie will be forced to sunset them. Also what is the point of Nezerac if we are just going to have him killed in a cutscene.

Eramis is not the Kell of Kells. It's Mithrax. He confirms as much after this via holo projector. Eramis is, as she put it herself, the Echo-Bearer. Regardless, the finale sucked. I had hoped that it would've played out much differently. I would've liked to see Mithrax taken over my Nezarec, the Echo betraying Fikrul in favor of having Nezarec as its master, Nezarec killing Fikrul after for good, final confrontation against Nexarec w/ the Echo's power and Eido being named Kell of Kells instead.

Bungie doesn’t redeem every single villain, last I checked Calus, Oryx, Savathùn, Fikrul, Rhulk, Nezerac and majority of the fallen were never redeemed

Eramis literally killed her own people every step of the way she took, house light was the biggest house filled with the most eliksni during seraph and she set off warsats that would have wiped out the entire last city, but sure her devotion to her people is the reason why the echo chose her. Nevermind the fact that the entire beyond light storyline was about how variks was contacting us because eramis strayed too far from her people's ways

Eramis was an uninteresting throwaway villain and they have done everything in their power to try to force her to be important to the story. She should have just been used to make variks and mithrax look righteous but they have shoehorned in a shitty redemption arc for no reason and it makes almost 0 sense. I'm convinced the writers have favorite characters that they like making important over and over again even when it doesnt make sense, not every character has to have a redemption arc and multiple seasons of focus.

@@MattTheHuman9 Honestly THAT is my only real problem with the story. I think it's good, but THAT one bit kinda soured it. At least have her acknowledge BOTH species wronged each other instead of acting like her people are the only victims and we're oppressors, when we're the only ones who've actually opened the door to the other side time and time again. I'd have kept it mostly the same, but change it so she acknowledged both sides wronged each other, but she sees there's still a long way to go if her people are to ever unite, acknolwedge she doesn't feel she's the right choice of Echo-bearer, supports Mithraax as Kell of Kells as he was the only one who truely caim closest to earning it as Veriks stays a Scribe, SPider's a criem boss and only ally as it's good business, but Mithraax actually took the big steps of making peace. SO she's leaving to try and use the Echo's power to rebuild Riis, and leaves it to Mithraax to try his best to unite their species and end the fighting, and maybe one day they can travel back to a rebuilt Riis. THAT would have been a better ending without changing too much.

Maybe it’ll come back and I’d hope it will because there was some huge potential with this, but there’s no way they just end it now before anything good ever happens with it, but I don’t expect much better from this game anymore. I’ve already basically quit besides coming back for the like 20 minutes of story they add every two months. I have patience, but I don’t have hope anymore. And it’s not even all their fault either, they did Final Shape and it just kind of feels like a natural stopping point for the game instead of it just dragging out forever as more and more people leave. I’d rather leave the game in a good state and as a good memory than being forced out when the game is totally finished

It was mentioned earlier in the Episode by Eramis that she believes the Echo can manipulate Ether, just like Maya's Echo could manipulate Radiolaria. She believes Fikrul was using it to change the polarity of the Ether from Light to Dark, and she's heard tales in Riis Alchemy of a tonic that could do something similar. Eido, afterwards, mentions that through study of Nezarec's curse in Mithrax that the curse has some similarities to Dark Ether, and so the tonic that could change Ether's polarity might be able to heal Mithrax. Said tonic is also what we used on Fikrul to kill him for good and allow Eramis to claim the Echo. She originally planned for it to cut him off from the Dark Ether and make him Eliksni temporarily, long enough for us to kill him for good, but it seems like the tonic was enough to do the job on its own without us needing to do anything more. What Eramis did was use the Echo to reverse the polarity of the Ether in Mithrax back to Light, removing the Dark infecting him from the curse of Nezarec's corpse.

Don't take this as a grain of salt, but could be that after spending some brief time within the "Pale heart". The Echo could be empowered by the combination of the Light and Darkness. What was made in Darkness can be unmade in darkness.

Eramis hurt her people far more times than Mithrax (who to be fair had a bad past but was trying to save them since the First Zero hour / Beyond Light) and caused Rasputin/Red to get unplugged because she hijacked his protocols to blow up the Traveller. Well guess now she is the saviour for all Elinski now and now Mithrax has to listen to her forever and ever (like it or not, she is the most powerful Elinski now, kinda like how the Vanguard bends its knees to the Guardian). Can't we give that Echo to someone pure like Eido ?! You know the most important character in this arc. Yes it would be cliched, but she earn it since Season of the SPLICER.

Ana had no choice but to pull the plug on Red to deny the "Shipstealer," a very powerful weopon all together. Lore-wise, I understood why because if Red started blasting with his BFGs, then the deaths of forces of Darkness, House Salvation, Scorn, Taken, Xivu's own Horde, would've empowered the Hive-God of War's powers not matter what.

I’m really struggling to complete this mission solo on Expert. Every time I get up to the Fikrul boss fight, I get overwhelmed in the mirror dimension. And the timer just adds to my anxiety and frustration. I also learned that after the damage phase, you’re permitted to go back to the regular dimension. However, Fikrul still has a lot of health. No enemies spawn either, and Fikrul doesn’t prepare for another attack. Is it on a timer or after you defeat a certain amount of minions?

​@hanto1614 I would hate it if the Fallen became the generic faceless bandit faction and the scorn became the generic undead faction. They need leaders to represent their values. Having Erimas wonder off, inhibits the Fallen for any future story and killing Fikeral removes identity from the scorn. Erimas should have not been redeemed, at the most she should be is the kind of character where there's a 50% chance she would help us or a 50% chance she would try to attack us. A wild card. Fikeral should have just have the echo taken from him and be forced to escape that way he can be used in future stories.

@davialmeida6566 From what I could remember, nothing other than it was Crow and Eido's Desicesion for Eramis to be given a fair and second chance. Also, it sounds like the Echo of Riis also has a choice between going to Eramis or the clearly Nezerec-tainted Mythrax. If I were a sentient powerhouse, whose goal is the restoration of "Humanity," I would also choose the "weaker" criminal who would do the less damage.

Without any interruption, Apothecary Eido and Echo Bearer Eramis, have all the time in the universe to experiment with it. But unfortunately, I could see Eido telling us that she doesn't want to waste her time and also say experimentation is too risky and they might lose it, Chaos emerald style.

Kinda disappointed with the easy resolution to Nezarec's curse. And as much as it's nice to finally after all this time have the Eliksni solve their little Kell of Kells dilemma I can't help but feel that Mithrax just doesn't feel like a king to me. Maybe it's superficial but I kind of want the kell to be huge like the others, able to go toe to toe with the worst of them. I don't actually object to Eramis getting something of a redemption arc, the seeds were there from pretty much the beginning. But it still felt a bit clunky, especially when her revelation is basically "hey this thing wants me to go and build a new Riis so I'm gonna go do that but just know that I still hate you and blame you for all the mistakes I made". Also the fact that this new Riis will be built without the Kell of Kells present feels a bit silly. But oh well, could be worse. Tbh part of me really wanted Variks to get juiced and become the KoK though haha, as much as that wouldn't be any better.
