Differences between Trout Cod and Murray cod :
The lower jaw is shorter than the upper in trout cod,
Murray cod generally have an overall olive green colouration, Trout cod generally have a more blue-grey colouration with a grey belly which often looks "dirty", especially under the chin,
Trout cod usually have a black or at least dark horizontal stripe on the side of the head,
Murray cod generally have a concave head profile with a relatively blunt, broad snout, whereas trout cod have a straight or slightly convex profile with a more pointed, narrower snout.
There is no difference in the shape, colouration, or position of the fins. Overall body shape, except as noted above is also the same.
Trout cod are generally more aggressive than Murray cod and often out fight them. Some anglers have described trout cod as being like "Murray cod on steroids".

Hi mate, great vid, incase you were wondering about that wired fruit you chopped with the machete, it's Osage orange, the timber is one of the best bowmaking timbers in the world, it's a feral species here bought over from America in the colonial era, just some info incase you want to make a bow and arrow at some stage, cheers, thanks for sharing.

Took me a while to work out what “wired” fruit meant, but just a typo. French common name bois d'arc ("bow-wood") fits with your mention of bow making timber. I saw a lot around Oxley, Vic where the farmers planted them along the fence lines, they’re also known as Hedge Apple, nothing eats them but they’re related to the Mulberry. Maclura pomifera.

You don't hardly see snakes, crocodiles or sharks, but you do see spiders, but they tend to leave you alone if you leave them alone 🤣 people always are put off Australia for this, but it's a beautiful place to visit, worth it in my opinion.
