Solo Backpacking Cathedral Lakes in Yosemite National Park

After Big Pine Lakes (see previous video), the shift in the "Sierras 2021" itinerary led me to Tuolumne Meadows in Yosemite NP. It all worked out because I had been meaning to visit here and this part of the park is accessible only in the summer. Tuolumne Meadows was absolutely gorgeous and provided a peaceful alternative to the crowds down in Yosemite Valley.
After a sunset dinner by Tenaya Lake, I woke up bright and early to hit up Cathedral Lakes for a 1 night trip... in search for the most epic dinner views, stars and sunrise.
And it turns out...

The amount of times I've been denied a permit for this is ridiculous. Maybe I got to apply for solo! Hahah. Sweet video man, I dig the new style editing and the angle of the shots are in my opinion my favorite way to capture hiking. Keep them coming and happy trails. Also you got yourself a new sub.

yes! So i got this permit two days before my trip actually, I was constantly checking online after my whitney summit got cancelled. applying solo is definitely easier from my experience. and thanks for the sub! I'll have some more content out v soon!

Do you know which access point it is for the permit. I’m trying to get a permit for sunrise -> cathedral over 2 nights, but it shows as “W” so maybe I just go there in the morning and beg?
