Follow my 3 day solo backpacking adventure in Redwood National Park. Hiking and camping the Redwoods was something I've always dreamed about, and I was finally able to make it a reality. This trip happened in early June and the water levels of Redwood creek were incredibly high, which made it next to impossible to find the actual trail. You start the trip by descending down through the Tall Trees Grove and then continue up or down Redwood Creek. Roosevelt Elk, Black Bears, Mountain Lions, and of course - Bigfoot, all call the majestic Redwoods their home. I apologize for the Bigfoot rant, but I couldn't hold back any longer!! I DO have some Bigfoot content on the way, so it is probably best if I start to ease into it. Solo hiking is one of my favorite ways to connect with nature, so this trip means a lot to me. Check out the links below for some of my favorite backpacking gear that I used on this trip, and many others! Also be sure to like and subscribe!

Good stuff! If you want to try another redwood backpacking trip, Prairie Creek Visitors Center to Gold Coast Camp and back is fun. Drive in camp so less solitude but the trails are amazing.

I REALLY wish I got to Prairie Creek. I think most of the backcountry sites were taken at Gold Coast, otherwise I would’ve. Redwood creek was closed the day before I got there due to high water levels so I lucked out. Thanks for watching!

@@mikewanders I was surprised to see you were able to wade it in June. Lots of rapid snow melt this year and I would've expected it to be raging. In any case, loved the vid and look forward to trying this trip soon!
