Brings back some nice memories, did the hike/backpack up to Emereld Lake in 2010 and plan to return to the Weminuche this ('22) summer. Thanks for sharing your adventure and all the great scenery.

Are there any good camping spots near the 1/2 way point (bridge)? I see a lot of hikers and videos camping the 1st night down below where you did (for obvious reasons...the beauty), but was just wondering if there were any good spots right after you cross the bridge?
@justinhitsthetrail5225 Жыл бұрын
Yep! There are a couple good spots just before the bridge (and even more along the way) and a couple spots right after the bridge! The first night in this video is right before the bridge. Probably less than 1/4 mile before it.

I'll be doing this in mid June. I think I'll bring a few Voodoo rangers!

Never a bad call! Hopefully June conditions will be nice. I tried it with a few friends in (early) June one year and it was still covered in snow and ice! Still turned out to be a nice trip along the Pine River! Cheers 🍻

Amazing scenery. So pretty. I’ve only seen deer and pikas there. I’ll be heading back late in the summer. Hopefully I can catch some more wildlife

Can’t you keep going up to the Continental Divide from Moon Lake?
@justinhitsthetrail52252 жыл бұрын
Yeah it looks like it’s about 14 more miles from Moon Lake. Could definitely make a great trip with that!

Yes, the route over to Rock Lake is not a trail, but it is well marked by cairns.
