Great review mate. I've been looking to buy this for me and my girlfriend for when we do the West Highland Way together. You've just sold it to me. 😁 Just came across your channel and dropped you a sub, looking forward to checking out your PCT videos. What an amazing adventure for you both. ATB Mark.

Justin and Anna, We are so thrilled you both are back!! My husband and I just talked about you the other day and we wished so much you would do an upate...and BAM, here you are! We followed a few couples doing the PCT trail last year and you were OUR ABSOLUTE FAVORITE! Loved your vids, your honesty and just everthing about you. So excited about your new home in Colorado and we look forward in watching your journeys - CHEERS from San Diego!

Thank you for your videos! I'm starting NOBO early May with my boyfriend and we loved watching your adventure as an inspiration. If you're still looking for ideas for your upcoming PCT videos, I have two questions : 1. What preparation / training would you do differently now that you've successfully completed the trail? And what did you think worked well for you? 2. How was it hiking as a couple? How did you deel with personnal space needs? Was it difficult to find friends? Did you want to hike with a tramily? Did you sometimes share hotel rooms with other hikers in towns?

Great questions! We may include these in the Q&A. Congrats on your upcoming journey! We’re always happy to hear we can be apart of the inspiration. Cheers!

Welcome back, and grats on the move. You guys are great. Watched nearly all of your PCT vids. Looking forward to whatever is next for you. Video idea: What were the top 10 things that surprised you the most about your PCT through-hike?

We had a similar idea! May be making a video on that soon.

Great to see you back! Since my hike last year was impacted by severe plantar fasciitis, any tips on foot care would be great. Colorado Springs is great, had family there for years.

Hello both! Frank here..I followed you all last year on your KZbin channel while you were on the PCT. Congrats on a major hike!! Congrats on your relocation also!! Question: I'm heading out on the PCT for a 600 mile LASH from Campo to Tehachapi starting in mid May 2025. I'm 72 but still very active. Any big suggestions/thoughts about the southern 600 mile area? Cheers!!! 😎👍✌
@justinhitsthetrail5225Күн бұрын
Thank you for the congrats! So glad to have hiked the PCT, and can’t wait to explore Colorado! Mid May will be hot! We started mid April and it was over 100 when we reached Tehachapi. Just plan for big water carries (make sure your pack can handle it) and carry more water than you think you need. One of our worst days on trail was when we didn’t pack enough water on a hot day. Miserable. I would consider a sun umbrella for a later start as well. There will still be more nice sections than rough sections though, and you should avoid the snow in socal. It’ll be a good hike! Have yourself a great adventure!

Day hiking videos is a good idea. I have watched a few Colorado hiking channels, but none of them are making many videos these days. Your channel could full the void nicely. 😎👍

So happy for you! Colorado Springs is such a beautiful area. If you are taking requests ... I'd love to hear about the more difficult parts of the trail, and how you dealt with them. Things like boredom, how cold and hot you got, dangers from snow and river crossing, how the diet/extreme exertion affected your bodies then and now, and how you handled the question of "why am I doing this" in those hard times. I start NOBO mid April and these are things I worry about a lot. But mostly, huge congratulations. I always liked watching your content :)

Congrats on completing your PCT thru-hike - it's an amazing achievement! I loved watching your videos. Last year I hiked about 400 miles of the PCT and I wanted to ask Anna how she dealt with the repetitive aspect of day after day hiking and doing the same thing day after day?

Wow, you absolutely nailed it with the information! Like Joe Friday, you're straight to the point, delivering nothing but the facts, and that’s refreshing. I truly appreciate someone being genuine rather than trying to adopt a flashy persona. Your knowledge is impressive, and your insights are incredibly valuable. Thank you for taking the time to share all this. Keep up the fantastic work!

It was a very nice presentation, a balance of straightforward information with a bit of your unique personality. I appreciate the personal touch you added, particularly your [specific trait or behavior], which made the presentation engaging. However, I do not care when someone's personality overshadows the information, leading to more fluff than substance. I appreciate your straightforward approach. When I was a Boy Scout, we used freestanding tents. As you pointed out, they could be a pain in the backside when the ground was really rocky. I understand that trekking pole tents are popular these days, but they make me nervous due to their complex setup, which could be [specific issue], and the potential for a steep learning curve, leading to [specific concern]. Once again, I want to express my gratitude for your video. Your knowledge and experience are not just valuable, they are crucial for our understanding. I encourage you to continue sharing them with us. Keep up the good work!

40in wide? It’s 50in wide, and tapers down to 40in at the foot. At least, this is what my Rapide SL double measures in at. Edit: I just checked, mine is actually a different version that tapers! Did not know there are two different double wide sizes.
