We got the same tropical rain here in South Lafayette Parish. I need to install more drains outside to send all the water to the ditch. Thanks for showing what a capped rig looks like. Our Mom's side of of the family is from off 167/90/49 near Bunki. We inherited part ownership of 3 rigs & at least one is capped. Dad's side of the family is from around New Iberia and Abbeville. Grew up coming here since I was a kid & grew up on Cajun & Creole food. SouthGreat video nice boat for sure from your Cajun friend 👍👍

Apple snails a ruining all the vegetation in the marsh. Snails eggs on duck decoys and trees. Saltwater intrusion is another problem. Family are catching shark,bull reds and bull drum in lake paloured. Need some cold fronts to push the saltwater back out. The roux pot looks well seasoned . Nothing like being out on the water no matter the weather!

Hey Buddy! Dry as a bone here in the Ozarks, came in the house yesterday after mowing, absolutely covered in dust thick! Crazy! Sure is beautiful out THERE though! I wonder how much motor it would take to turn that four hour drive into two hours or less? Tell the rest of the family i said hey. Thanks for the recipe and that footage of that gater. Awesome. I really injoyed watching your solo camping trip that's a good idea to plot and see how far you can go on a tank of gas how much fuel do you.cary on board for the boat and generator getting a depth finder is a good idea also definitely good eating and senery also I know the feeling of not having your little buddy with you it's to quite im used to having some to talk to also but it's good to go solo every now and then once again injoyed another one of your videos have a great and blessed day tell the family hello my friend

Good morning! At the moment I carry 15gallons for the boat which now I know I can get around a 100 miles I also have a 18 gallon tank I’ll be adding for when I do a upcoming trip it will be around 180 miles so I should have plenty to do the trip, far as generator it uses around a gallon a night👍✌️

@@GJCAMPING that's really good fuel economy and a gallon a night for the generator to keep cool and charging and lights you can't get any better than that I really like your freezer and refrigerator combination lots more versatile than just a ice chest but they are good also the work that you have done the boat to make it more comfortable is really awesome and a lot more room in it I think the wood work came out really nice i like the look of old and rustic things also keep up the great videos and looking forward to seeing much more and looking forward to seeing the one with the long journey keep up the great work and have a great and blessed day my friend

That’s them fish that LSU let go ate all of that grass/seaweed stuff that you are talking about buddy, cause I know all that grass that use to be above the HWY90 Bridge in FlatLake is gone now too. An all the grass that was in Grassy Lake is was gone out of there too, but I don’t know how it is now My-Friend

I think that they are called German-Carp or something like that, all I know is that they get big fast. An at night if you’re riding in the boat at night with a seal beam on your head, they jump out of the water headed straight for the light on your head

@@GJCAMPING Yeah GJ, when lil G hooked that pole it reminded me of a friend of mine who hooked my pole while fishing the trestles in rough water (Lake Pontchartrain). I put it down on the bow to tend to the trolling motor, and it plunked over the gunnel. To this day he reminds me that his Okuma saved my Penn Battle. As you can probably tell, he's "brand loyal" guy. Shake my head. r/EW

Avg. winter temps are around 40 for lows 60s high, with a occasional freeze 30hrs max at freezing so very mild. 👍✌️

Once I get ready for the trip I’ll definitely do that. it will take around 4 days running 8 to 10 hrs a day but it be some great scenery 👍✌️
