When Matt was going out with local fishermen in their boats and he showed off skills he’d learnt from locals, and his already known fishing and camping skills. Glad I subscribed when I did though, started with a few thousand subs, then bang over a million in a short time and growing 👌👍

@Mark Derbyshire I do mate, seen plenty of them and not a lot of succes.. just a shitload of hype. Maybe the difference is that i acually have a lifetime of experience and expertise out in the bush & on the water. Most viewers probably think this guy actually knows what hes doing i guess, because theyve never done these things.. but to me it just looks like he got into this stuff 5 minutes ago and doesnt have any real background in the bush. You know? Looks like he watched a video on how to do something the night before and now hes out here trying to teach us how to do it 😂

Field Days, what got you started? I'm from QLD and I love to camp and explore the rainforests, coasts and river streams. I've always thought about kicking off a channel and sharing my adventures but find it difficult to get started, although I have plenty of equipment to use in videos, I don't have anything to really record videos with besides my phone. It's something I have a real interest in, just imagine making enough to do something you really enjoy for a living and be free from endless working life. I'd love to hear your story, what got you hooked and how'd you kick off? Cheers.

I think I can answer sort of on his behalf. He got stuck in Bali at the start of the pandemic and needed some income so he took his fishing and foraging skills from back home and decided that he was gonna use a combo of that and KZbin to make a go of it. Because everyone else was locked in their house the channel did really well. It was nice to vicariously go on mad adventures with him.

Hi Matt..just a tip or two.. dont throw away those plastic things..the noodle package and things like that..just put it into the fire Matt..the fire will do its job and the wood will burn better.. dont throw the coconut husks Matt.. put it in to the fire when you are about to sleep oh when ever you want and you ll not find any mosquitoes..dont let it burn away, but the smoke..put a fire coal or two on to those husks and you can get the results.. cheers ..

Very great channel. You guys love coconut juice a lot. You mentioned that the green ones the plants so higher and you afraid to climb them. You guys have good knife there just cut the sides to have steps easier way we most do that in Fiji Islands no matter how tall they are. Just have a good knife while ascending keep cutting steps on the sides.
