I had to laugh when you called yourself an idiot for painting the gas bottle because I thought it was awesome how much thought and effort you put into everything! Was it smoking? Here in Australia a pack will likely set you back about $50 so it's a very expensive way to shorten your existence. A pack a days smoker here could be spending over 18k in a year.

Too much stuff? No such thing imo. I go away with a family member and we have a 4wd each, about the same size as his, and they're both fully loaded including stuff strapped to the roof racks. I've just received a rechargeable shower and another light which includes a string of tiny LED fairy lights is on its way as well. We do like to be comfortable.🤣🤣🤣

@@Johnniebhoy83 Yeah that's my theory on it all as well these days. Sleeping on the ground and smelling like a Goat aren't my idea of a good time tbh. One place we stay at has flush toilets and hot showers as well as an area with a sink to do dishes. It's 50 dollars a night but a very pleasant place to stay as long as you can stop the wildlife pinching your food. I don't stay anywhere these days that doesn't have a toilet of some description.

@@Johnniebhoy83 Yeah for sure. Funnily enough the last time we were camping a tourist on a mountain bike turned up in the camp next door with everything she used strapped to her bike. We invited her over to share our fire as it was cold, wet and miserable. She ended up spending most of the time in our camp or cruising around seeing the sights with us. I think she enjoyed not having to rough it for a while. Impressive effort travelling around parts of Australia on a pushbike as it's a big place.

As an Australian l love your pommie attitude which is easy going and have a laugh and don't give a stuff about what anyone thinks. The fun of camping is what it is all about and the joy that it brings to people. I have been camping for over fifty years whether it was at yachting regattas fishing in the bush or 4 wheel driving adventures in the High Country of Victoria. The amount of camping equipment I have acquired over the years has been imense. So to see you go camping in is quite interesting with all the new products coming on the market. Keep up the good work.😊

Love watching you camp, but here in the states we have to have a tent with a built in floor, so many snakes here especially here in Georgia, our old canvas tent with a good thick floor felt so safe when we camped with our family years ago, you are so entertaining to watch, can no longer camp because of age and physical problems but I did it all in my day from rustic to a cabin without electricity or running water.

I’m too old now for backpacking, tent camping, and sleeping on the ground. So I got an SUV that I can easily use for real simple one-nighters. Wish I could have a fire, but it’s dangerous and banned right now. I haven’t been camping in 30 years, and I have been lured in by van life and camping videos like yours. Nobody else wants to go camping, so my dog and I will go come cooler weather. I won’t go too far, and I can’t leave my cats alone for more than one night. I think I will feel safer in a car at my age as well.

Thanks to your videos, I've been inspired to return to camping, even though I'm not a spring chicken. Had two successful trips so far, first with a friend, second solo (with 2 dogs). So many KZbinrs show the scary side of camping, you focus on the positive. Very inspiring. Plus, I love your campsite meals. Great job as always.

This is an unusual camp out. You're small field kitchen is fantastic, but it doesn't seem to be - you. Hit coals, Dutch iven and skillet on coals. Rain, snow, spider air filled tent that collapsed- yeh, that's you. Really enjoy every video, thanks.

I know this was just inspired by some Asian camping channels and you were just trying out new gear, experiencing new things while kept your channel interesting to watch and kept us entertained like some of your other videos did. Ok I am just gonna say it and hope you don’t mind me saying…😂 This is exactly how many of the Japanese, Korean and Taiwanese people would like to set their camps up. For me, this ‘move your whole household stuff outdoor’ concept, is too much. When I camp, I’d like to keep it simple, or I might as well stay home. Of course, this is just my opinion. I did enjoy your videos very much! Thank you!

I did an exercise at St Mawgan in 1984, when I was an RAF Trainee technician at RAF Locking. US Marines on the base, so I'm guessing a few "N" ordnance stored there. Saw a Nimrod come in with flames out the back - definitely not part of the exercise.

The onetigris chair is designed for easy seat install. That center part that pushes the two front seat corners out is designed to do that AFTER you install seat. Install the seat, then push the center out. No struggling to stretch the seat out to the corner

LOL! We used a toaster like that in the late 1950’s camping in New Hampshire USA with my parents then I used one like it in the late sixties camping with my family in a pop up camper!😂😂

Of course, it was due to me trying to self-medicate with high-calorie beer due to chronic pain, but I've been trying my best recently to get things under control. Congrats on giving up the bad habit. I did the same some 20 years ago. Unfortunately weight gain has been an issue. Keep up the hiking as much as you can. Loved the camp and am seriously considering purchasing that storage box

Bread and spam have to go. Little cheese, too salty, pretty basic. No salty butter, olive oils to cook with. Eggs and bacon are good. All in moderation. Pasta or anything wheat is a no go. Beers, man. Rye bread is good. I fight weight too. Coffee, tea, water are kings. No cereal, all sugar. Man I like that camp. Winter time or rain use a generous tarp and all will be well. Be fun in winter with plenty of lights. Fun vid all good next time

Low carb is the way to go. It heals as well as reduces. And salt is very important. Butter, not oil. Get up to date @samhill3496 (Reduces BP, blood sugar, GI tract, allergies, skin issues, cataracts, psoriasis, arthritic inflammation, edema and so much more. Those all healed before I dropped the 70#. No more meds)

at 12:30, that panel for the stove.... can it be turned around? if the thing for the gas can is like a small divit instead of a mound - the gas can can sit in it and the 4 holes on the side is for the legs of the stove, might make so it won't risk sliding around and be stable instead i don't know if that would work, but atm this is driving me bonkers :P

Maybe I am missing the point of this dark mode deal, But I just dont see the point of it. Hell when I go camping I do not care at all if all my camping stuff matchs. To me this is just to much work to make it all match. I go camping to enjoy being in the outdoors.
