Got me stuffed why, but cooking a GOOD meal in the bush is one of the most enjoyable experiences possible. You see all the camping things with 'make things easy', but no, the effort is worth it and to do it all on your own with only the sounds of birds and a stream and the crackle of the fire is truly 'sensational'!

Good stuff Timmy, you're doing it very well. One wouldn't call the king your uncle, so to speak. Now, gonna get on your case again . . . that, or track you down somewhere and put you straight. You are a right hander Timmy. Your dominant side is your right side - it's where all your fine motor skills, touch and strength are. For that, you cast with your right hand, hold the rod in your right hand and fight any fish with your right hand too. Winding, is merely a mechanical thing where none of those fine motor skills are needed - it's done with your left hand. What you are doing is like putting the bacon on top of the eggs in your sandwich - it's all cack-handed. 😂😉 Can you change the handle of that reel to the other side? It'll make things much easier for you if you can. For everything else, you are coming along very nicely young man, well done . . ha ha! 😃 😃 😃

When i make direct cooking videos i mention in those a lot more details with cooking times etc. My travel videos and solo videos, i try and keep the cooking part of the videos a little more layback and causal. I'll take on board your reply mate and i do appreciate your feedback. Cheers Tim.

Cracking spot Tim, I know it very well. I was up there just after the new year. Had one night with a couple of dingoes howling, one group up by the road the other over by the fenceline into Higgins' place. That hole beneath the falls often holds a few very small brown trout.

I must say Batesy, the first 7 minutes of listening to the sounds of nature, and watching a bloke go about his business was gr8 editing. Really enjoyed the whole video. Tell me Batesy, what’s behind laying the sauces and oil down on the table, is that a habit or simply so they don’t fall down on a rocky camp table? Going up the Murray next month, I think I might take some dimy’s and give them a go cooking on the river red gum. Loving the content, keep it going. Cheers
@timbates4wdadventures4 жыл бұрын
G'day Shayne, Yeah it was so relaxing setting up camp with just the surrounding noises going on. Very relaxing time while setting up camp. Yeah, i lay them down so they don't roll off the end of the table. Bit uneven the ground, so lay them down and they cant go anywhere. You have a great trip up on the Murray. Great time of year for being beside the Murray River. Give those dimmy's a red hot go. They are unreal. Lol Thanks for your reply and feedback. Cheers Tim.

@@leeobe absolutely Lee! As you’ve noticed I’m a big fan of Tim for obvious reasons. People do need to turn down the music and tune into the bush, it speaks to us if we listen and it’s just lovely. I love Tim’s appreciation of this too. Another reason why solo camping can be so enriching.

@@timbates4wdadventures It's autonomous sensory meridian response. It's a whole genre on KZbin! It could be anything like watching a person going about usually mundane tasks, like food preparation, or even a video of just a campfire burning for an hour or so. It's supposed to induce a low state euphoria and tingling on the skin. I don't think it's big in the 4WD genre! lol
