Solo Crota in The Final Shape (Yes, It Still Works) - Finisher Glitch [Destiny 2]

Destiny 2 The Final Shape - Solo Crota Raid Boss in TFS / Solo Crota, Son of Oryx Finisher Glitch / Solo Crotas End Raid Final Boss Crota Encounter in CE Destiny 2. Just a quick video showing a solo clear of the Crota boss in the reprised Crota's End raid. Details below.
Since the release of The Final Shape, I've had a few comments ask if this was still possible. And while I still needed some red borders from it, I figured I could make a quick and easy video before reset tomorrow.
This took me two attempts, as the first I didn't launch him far enough.
The whole thing for this is to launch Crota far enough by your finisher to have him fall off the map. If it's only a small launch, he'll respawn in the arena. It needs to get some distance. Tips on how to get this to work:
- Timing / position: You want Crota to be between you and the enemy, ideally facing towards the edge of the map you want to launch them. You want to use the finisher when Crota isn't slamming, or right before / as he's just started slamming you. It can work at other times and positions, but I found those to be the most consistent.
- FPS doesn't matter. I've seen it done at 30-60, and I've had over 200 with success.
- Finishers matter. Titan default, Scythe, and Valkyrian Impale I know work for sure. There's others as well, but try one of those.

Exact same thing here. I did it Monday night, now attempting on Wednesday and it’s not working. I knocked him off once, but he teleported back. Unless you just have to knock him far enough, they may have fixed it.

Ok, this is just my opinion based on what ive tested Easiest survivability is lock Easiest dmg is hunter Bit of both is titan First boss: Warlock : u wana be on nova(star eaters) with edge transit and some sort if weaken(make use of the artifact mod thaat deals extra dmg to weakened enemies while using a void weapon) Hunter : id do tether and grapple meele on prismatic with synthoceps for the class item Titan: banner with tractor cooks Second boss: Warlock: dragons breath and song of flame, this will be better after using the new artifact mods from act 2 Hunter: this might be a bit weird but blade barrage with shards of galanor and a fusion with dragons breath will cook. Optimally u can get of one super each plate during dmg Titan: pyrogale dragons breath. U can get 2 supers off in one dmg phase optimally Final boss: Warlock: same as first encounter Hunter: id do still hunt celestial with a rocket(same rotation as witness dps) Titan: not entirely sure but prismatic twilight arsenal and edge transit shud be ok

Any finisher works, but some are better than others. The scythe is the best afaik, but I imagine the flick from this season works just as well. And any class works, just with different techniques. Invis or solar healing work best. Practise makes perfect though, the angle is extremely precise.

A lot of finishers do work. The default works. The hard part is the timing u want to have a knight infront of crota’s knee cap then finish that knight while u are behind crota
