by the way what do u think about Fairbank in mid april, end of april? would i be able to cycle or no way because of the snow? planning to head there next year- Anchorage maybe instead?

I use a combination of a Sony ZV-1, a GoPro Hero 12, and my phone to record. I just use the built in mic on everything! I think the sound is just good enough and I don't want to carry more than I need. I'm not from Alaska so I'm not sure how bad April will be for cycling, but I know locals in Alaska ride all through the winter on fat bikes! I think the main roads should be cleared out but I don't know for sure

4:20 when we are on long trips like this we dump in several spoons of cooking oil in for those(cheap and easy) extra dense calories and some flavor.

Somehow I still haven't seen a single bear! If faced with a pack of wolves I'd try to just get back to the road and use my bear spray if necessary. I was pretty glad this was just a loner!

are you riding a Mountain bike ? how much weight are you carrying ?

I'm riding a Surly Troll which is considered an off-road touring bike with 2.5 inch tires. I never weighed everything but with max food supply I was probably around 90 pounds or so
