Well done young lady, first time out on a solo and with a success is great. I really like the fact you put up the info of the equipment you used, plus the distance and angle the shot was taken from, I wish more people would do that! While I realize you only had a phone camera, the filming was good 👍. I think a quick bit of film before and after the shot of the animal would have made your video even better. Thank you so much for sharing it with us.

Thank you! Been trying for awhile now so was pretty stoked it all worked on my first solo overnighter too. Had the phone and go pro hence the change in quality- hopefully get some better filming kit in the next couple of months ☺️

The flies do that. It's called recycling. When they starve due to inadequate hunters not getting enough (or those creatures they out-compete do) they die near water. Unfortunately the sanctimonious don't organise ecological sanitation expeditions to counter that. Tsk tsk. Worth not leaving them in small trickle streams near high facilities if simple, but dilution usually counters any risk in normal situations.

On a side note have you ever thought of getting rid of the Tatonka pack and switching to something lighter like an Osprey? I did and never looked back as it saved weight. What calibre were you using?
