I was crew on a 38 ft sailboat for a number of year's. We once had to bring her into the berth under sail as the engine failed to start. Had to tac a bunch of times in the marked channel. Then up a narrow river mouth for a couple hundred yards. Into the marina ,a hard starboard turn into the slip without a single bump of the dock. Now that was both impressive and a lot of work as a deck hand. We celebrated with a few cold ones.

Impressive, indeed! I've only ever seen two or three saboats actually enter a river or marina approach under sail, which is always remarkable. Most of the sailboats we see are moving under power, so to see one actually moving by way of wind power is an unusual sight for us.

HEY! Happy New Year!! I've been anticipating your next video as i recuperate from knee surgery. Your intro....I DO kinda miss them but the final decision is obviously yours. At 2:53, I was fearing for your life if that was a Brown Recluse spider coming in to take a chomp!! LOL! All the best to you both!!
@BoatingWithBoogaboo

Happy New Year to you as well!! Hope your recuperating goes smoothly. As for that spider, I never noticed it until I watched the video. Spiders are our friends so I don't fear them and go out of my way to save one if it's found aboard Boogaboo or in the house I'll gently capture it and place it outside before Anchor Girl squashes him. That said, if our youngest granddaughter saw it, you'd probably hear the screams all the way over on the East Coast 🤣

Thanks but this boat handles so well, it makes me look like I know what I'm doing. As for moving the transmissions by hand, I'm too old to move those 150 pound beasts ;-) But if you'd like to see more of shifting the transmissions, I have a few videos specifically on that perspective. It makes me happy to see sunshine and docking. As to your intros it’s obviously totally up to you but since you asked I wouldnt put them back in from 2 perspectives. As a subscriber I usually fast forward them…not just yours but others that I’ve already seen. And second from the KZbin algorithm perspective when people fast forward them I understand that it generally negatively impacts how they look at your videos because the first 30 seconds of viewership is a major analytic. But you already have a ton of subs and you may not care. Thanks for the throw back video!

Nicely done! From what I can see in this video the 370 is as easy to dock and maneuver as your 330 and my 310. Twin inboards with v-drives are the only way to go! It's disappointing SR moved away from this power option on newer models. Thanks again for sharing this - the 370 very well may be my next boat as well.
@BoatingWithBoogaboo
@BoatingWithBoogaboo 8 ай бұрын
One more to watch, as I talk about the additional weight of this boat vs our prior 330. For me, it makes for a nicer ride and better handling throughout the curve; kzbin.info/www/bejne/j37Le4OvgNGDl5Ysi=65onjbWZ73CJP9rx&t=338 Only thing to keep in mind is that our 1998 (+ the 1999 model years) is that the radar arch is a lot higher than the 1994-1997 models years. That was a huge motivation for me, as I always had a sore neck after driving the 330 for any length of time which made it very uncomfortable. I think my continuing neck pain was the result of that :-(
@Motorvader
@Motorvader 8 ай бұрын
The heft you talk about really helps with stability in windy conditions. Since there's no flybridge on a Suandancer you don't have that extra "sail" to push you around. The taller arch was why I went with a newer 310 over the 330 - I heard quite a few complaints about lack of sufficient headroom. The more time you spend on the water the more you learn what you want and like!

@BoatingWithBoogaboo

This marina, at the time of filming, included 'free' pumpouts with one's annual marina slip fees. Non-marina customers would have to pay a fee - I'm not aware of what that amount is.
