Solo Dragon Disciple - Ep.3: From Irenicus's Dungeon To Acquiring The Robe Of Vecna

I wanted to see how fast I could get through Baldur's Gate, Shadows of Amn, and Throne of Bhaal with a solo dragon disciple with Ascension and SCS (insane, double damage).
In this episode, I import my character, rush through Irenicus's dungeon, the slaver quest, and the thieves' guild quest as quickly as possible while getting as much xp as possible to save gold for the Robe of Vecna (among other things).

I've been thinking about trying to speedroute SCS myself. I'm glad I'm not the only one that thought of this. Your videos are very refreshing to watch, and I'm really glad I found them. Normally, whenever I see people streaming or posting videos of SCS, they are grinding XP for all they're worth, which is not fun for me, and it's also not as interesting to watch. I've had people argue with me that killing enemies is not necessarily grinding, but if the sole purpose of killing them is for the XP, I'd have to disagree with that. It blew my mind that you could just talk to Renfeld and skip the fight entirely. I'm not sure why I never thought of that. I'm sure I'm going to learn a lot from watching your videos. I am surprised you don't get Bloodscalp's boots of speed and and side with Bodhi. I'm guessing the reason for that is because the vampires are worth more XP. The strat they do in the vanilla speedrun works in SCS too for getting Bloodscalp's boots, and all you need is a PFMW scroll and some Dire Charm/Domination scrolls, depending on how willing to save scum you are. I saw nothing in the description about this being a no reload, but if it is no reload you just bring more Charm/Domination scrolls. Also, I was wondering which version of SCS you're using, or if you have a list of mods you used for this playthrough posted somewhere and I missed it? Thank you very much for posting these videos! I've been looking for streams/videos for a while of someone who has a playstyle closer to mine and also plays SCS. I couldn't believe it when I finally stumbled across your videos. I can't wait to watch the rest of them, but unfortunately due to life and obligations it will take me a little bit to get through them.

Hey, sorry for the late reply. I really appreciate your comment. As for talking to Renfled and skipping the fight, I have to give credit to Davaeorn there. I saw him do it on stream. I sided with Bodhi because I have Rogue Rebalancing installed, and it makes the Shadow Thieves guildhall and Aran fight significantly harder, especially as a solo sorcerer. (You basically need a thief in the party to pull it off.) I'm pretty sure I used the penultimate version of SCS, as the last one (as far as I heard) still had some bugs. (I still haven't installed the latest one, as I haven't really played the game in months.) As for playstyle, I don't stick to any particular one. I like to do long, slow runs where I don't necessarily grind for XP but that I make challenging in different ways (for example, all-thief or all-mage parties in BG1). When you do have time, I'd love to hear your thoughts about the rest of the run (if you ever get to it).
