We visited the CRAIGOCH TOR (The Agnew Monument) in the RHINS PENINSULA. The MOTORHOME AIRE is near KIRKCOLM and details can be found on the SEARCH FOR SITES website or app.

Lovely footage Helen, amazing views. You don’t half know the ‘spots’. Weather helped. Selfish, ignorant people in that van 🤷♀️. Wolfie has well and truly made himself at home, lord of the manor. Just needs a fan for hot days and duvet for cooler days 😅 whilst in his boudoir!
@roaminginraymond7 ай бұрын
Ha ha ha, yes, he's a spoiled bugger like Nookie was lol. I couldn't believe that motorhome parking like that straight across me. You should have seen my view lol, the side of their van was all I could see!

Loved the video! Do you think that was a hire van as seasoned motorhomers would know parking etiquette and should have been more thoughtful?!🤔 Hire companies I dont think educate their customers on all kinds of even basic important points while using a motorhome. Lots of space on that motorhome aire to be spread out. Oh that wind!!! Its still blowing a hooley even though the sun has been out all day! Wolfie is too cute!❤

Thanks Patricia. It didn't look like a hire van so not sure, but they were annoying lol. Wolfie said thank you.🥰🐾

The dog is mental lol New England bay looks like a place to pause … Will he go off lead at all yet ? Some ppl don’t care how they park …. Thanks for sharing
@roaminginraymond7 ай бұрын
Don't think we will ever have him off lead, Nanook never was. He has husky traits and huskies are known runners. Plus he's always diving in the undergrowth after stuff. He got a mouse the other day but I shouted and he dropped it and it scurried away. Can't have him murdering things!

Great video again Helen. I admire you for staying off the beaten track in your van. I must do that area again. Could even do the park up at New England Bay! That was next to the club camp site wasn't it? Got some great weather too.
@roaminginraymond7 ай бұрын
Yes, next to the campsite. It's a lovely spot. I felt safe enough there as there were a few other vans there too. I saw a hare in the grounds of the campsite but didn't have the gimbal on me, which was really annoying! Ballantrae is a good overnighter too. I stayed there again two nights ago, and I was the only van there again.

@BentleyOnTour probably Girvan. That gets ridiculously rammed. I was going to stay there a couple of nights ago, and it was full of motorhomes, campervans and caravans, so I turned around and left.

Really enjoying following your solo trip. Love the van to ideal for this kind of trip. What is your cooking pot and does it need an inverter
@roaminginraymond7 ай бұрын
Thanks Susan, really glad you're enjoying the videos. I use it on a powerbank, a 600w one. The pot is 500w but once it reaches boiling point you turn it down and it's 250w then, so it doesn't drain the powerbank as quickly. Or obviously you can use it in the mains if you're on EHU.

Wolfie looks like you have another nutter. Working on Lindsay, I want another dog but Lindsay is still hurting over the cat last year. We need to get back that way no plans yet though.
@roaminginraymond7 ай бұрын
Dogs are amazing, but it is hard after losing a pet. I never had another dog til two years after my old dog passed away, but then Nanook turned up needing a home after being abandoned. We couldn't say no to Wolfie after two years in kennels. He definitely is a loony like Nookie Monster was. I still miss Nook everyday and it's nearly a year. Broke my heart massively but Wolfie has helped, he's so lovely. It is definitely a beautiful part of Scotland.
