Living in my car and saving for a van right now. I’m really finding reorganizing before bed critical or the space becomes a nightmare quick. Nice to see tried and true experience living in a vehicle proving to be a constant truth from someone doing it awhile. Love the day in the routine life vids.

Hey Ahle. For added security and awareness, why not invest in a couple of small security cameras that allow you to observe the area outside your van which you can download an app for viewing (live) on your smart phone? You could afix them subtly inside your van pointing outside. All you have to do is check your smart phone app when you hear disconcerting noises. Could give you added comfort to confirm that a noise is just a scavenging dog or racoon versus allowing you a few more seconds to prep your weapon if the noise is a wandering human. Just thinking out loud.

As someone who has lived in a van, I can fully recommend a bed frame so you can store a few things underneath. Gets stuff out of your living space when not in use... it helps the sanity. By the way, are you getting solar power?

Really love watching these videos...its just so cool that you live in a van with minimal stuff. Always find that when I'm living in small spaces I spend much more time doing interesting things outside. In big spaces its mostly maintenance and worrying about security.

When are you going to build a bed frame off the floor and finish the rest of the inside of your van. A simple bed frame 2.5 ft off the floor would give you plenty of storage under the bed and free up tons of space in the front of your place.

You have really got to use all that space you have on the upper area of the van. There are nets you can get on Amazon that attaches from one side of the ceiling to the other side for storage.

Folgers can??? Bucket $3. Snap on camp toilet seat $11. 22 scented Trash bags at the dollar store. $15 with tax, done. In a van I suggest the campco flushable toilet. Got mine on Amazon for 60 bucks and it's amazing.

Hey Ahle! This will be a long comment so bear with me. Last winter, do to unfortunate circumstances, I ended up living in my car. However, I am super grateful for the experience. During that time I discovered your channel. Since then I've managed to save up and get an apartment, and I hate it. I literally can't wait to move back into my vehicle. Renting a place just seems, well, silly! So, I plan on purchase a van a year from now once my lease ends. In the mean time I'll have plenty of time to save and plan. Thats basically my story in a very tiny nutshell. Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you for all you do because you have no idea how much it helped me in discovering who I am. It's amazing how much we have in common, and hopefully one day we'll cross paths. Till then stay awesome!

Young and work anywhere on her own Derserves a better van to live. I couldn't or wouldn't want that. I am finally blessed with shelter and a home in my older years. But growing up we had an RV So it was a little bit easier living then what she is doing. We had the kitchen a bathroom we traveled But she is travelling for work

You should paint white primer on your high top. Then devide off in squares or circles and when your bored paint SOMETHING in the spot. Date each one too. Wouldn't that be cool?? Acrylic liquid paints, easy cleanup.

I didnt mind living in a van before i had kids. Of course it was my brothers van && i had to be up && out before he had to leave for work but the only challenging thing i experienced was having to always find a place to shower bc i shared the van with my brother. && also i couldnt just lay out and relax i had to find somewhere to go all day from 5am to 6 pm. 😔 but i enjoyed it otherwise.
