Good to see you with a diesel heater! 🙌🏾💯! I use a 5 gallon diesel fuel tank along with a fuel transfer pump, battery operated, to transfer diesel from the yellow fuel tank to my diesel heater tank, your clear plastic one behind your seat! This makes refilling diesel in your rig a lot safer and cleaner. Also, store your extra diesel outside of your rig! You don't want those fumes in your rig at any time. Keep towels and other fuel cleanup supplies nearby. Also, CO2 and smoke detectors and a fire extinguisher are all highly recommended.

Good video of the whole process ! I’ve been wanting this type of heating system only using propane because the loud pump in the diesel variant would drive me bonkers ! But newer to the market are diesel units with much quieter almost silent pumps . Priced a bit higher but still around 4x cheaper than the propane units . That Jim seems like a good guy to have around even if there’s a bit more cussing to bleep out ! 👍

“Figured it all out by myself”. You mean YT showed you how to do it. You should have mounted the pump outside and not with the standard mount. The vibrations will drive you mad if you leave it attached to any sort of structure in the van. Also, you don’t need to hold the up button to switch modes. Just hold the settings button. Well done for giving Jim his credit too

@ Jesus wept, you must be taking some strong medication to be so happy all the time. Look at me, I’m great, I do everything myself with no help. Get a grip of yourself. What age are you, 5? You made an absolute balls of installing that heater. Drilling the tank hole in the wrong place and mounting the tank like that. And the pump is gonna literally drive you mad. Is your van financed? If so you are drilling into the van? And what about the load capacity of your van? If you overload in weight it will affect your braking, brakes, suspension, ABS, etc. I recently took my van to a weigh station and was shocked at how loaded i am. Know your load capacity and then get the weight with a full tank of gas AND your weight. It's safety.
@NorthofSomewhereNomad5 күн бұрын
@@exploringnext1111 With the stow and go seats out ( about 400 pounds or so) and minus the 6 people who would occupy those seats, I have tons of available weight capacity. I'm good.
