A suitcase diesel chinese heater is the easiest heater to get hooked up. One hole for exaust, plug into 12 volt and add diesel. So simple Google SUIT CASE DIESEL CHINESE HEATER !!!

I lived in a 2014 Ford escape for 2 years on the island. I now have a 2014 Ford van with a gas heater. I’m currently in Calgary. Yes it gets cold 🥶😎🚐 🇨🇦🇺🇸

@ I’m not crazy about drilling holes in my new van. I’ll not be staying in it again in sub-freezing temps without some type of heater. Your way seems best for your situation. Happy holidays

Great job! I'd like to ask what dimentions is your mattress, is it like 48x36?

@artsyfartsylife0369 Thanks. My mattress is 49" long by 38" wide. I also have 7" on either side (top and bottom) where the drink caddys are which adds to the length. So, essentially 63" long.

Nice little review. My 37l BougeRV fridge is serving me well, but I would sure consider the gorgeous ICECO when time comes to replace it. My one concern would be dinging-up that lovely virgin aluminium, but I guess it would add a little wabi-sabi character!

I love how it looks, it's kinda retro but also modern with the smooth shiny aluminum, looks very well built and sturdy.so nice to be able to have ice cubes when it's a hot day, Great review.

My Bougerv 30 liter pulls 35 watts and it eats up my 100ah battery in 3-4 days. Your jackery is small. You’ll need to upgrade to avoid headaches.

@basantidevi2305 Actually my little Jackery is pretty good, it pulls from my van's built-in inverter, so it's pretty much always juiced up. But yes, I'm in the market for a much more powerful battery.

I have been using a ICECO unit on our boat for the last four seasons. During the off months, its powered down while the boat is in storage, during the winter in Florida, we use it as a freezer. The unit has run flawlessly on 12vdc and only pulls about 3 amps on around a 50% duty cycle (could be less, hard to tell when its running). I bought the unit because its a true compressor type. Highly recommended. For our camper van, we would not use the unit because we find a propane fridge/freezer is the way to go.

“Figured it all out by myself”. You mean YT showed you how to do it. You should have mounted the pump outside and not with the standard mount. The vibrations will drive you mad if you leave it attached to any sort of structure in the van. Also, you don’t need to hold the up button to switch modes. Just hold the settings button. Well done for giving Jim his credit too

@ Jesus wept, you must be taking some strong medication to be so happy all the time. Look at me, I’m great, I do everything myself with no help. Get a grip of yourself. What age are you, 5? You made an absolute balls of installing that heater. Drilling the tank hole in the wrong place and mounting the tank like that. And the pump is gonna literally drive you mad. Only commented because of your title. If you don’t like bad comments, don’t post to the internet.
