The last of the 3 classes, and the one I was probably looking forward to running the most. It didn't really live up to the expectations I had from a DPS and ability-spam perspective, but the survivability and constant overshields more than made up for that. I think Twilight Arsenal would probably be a better choice, but I both forgot that it existed, and overvalued the use of the bubble on the boss fight. The barrier shields are more than enough to survive everything.
I'd also probably prefer to swap Graviton with something a little harder hitting, Choir of One might've fit nicely. And then I'd just use the heavy GL to deal with the Unstoppables. Either way, the champion mods kinda suck this season, so you're hindered one way or another.
Lastly, obviously this doesn't really compete with any number of builds. But it's very mindless and safe to do, and brings me back to when Void 3.0 was first out and the HoiL Void builds back then.

​@@FreeChickenzz it's a modifier for this week's GM. If you deal void damage it charges and when full it gives a lot of ability regen. If not charged you take more void damage.

Barrier Champions: "We've got a bubble for protection" Eso's Titan: "Just watch!" Void hunger makes this GM feel like a Mayhem match. Same thing goes with Contraverse Hold on void warlocks. It's insanely funny!

First season of Witch Queen, HoIL was the goat and I lucked out with an amazingly-statted one. Did my first GM that season using Le Monarque and a fair amount of panic. Thankfully, I held onto that HoIL. Might be time to bust out that old build. Amazing as always.

VoidLock with Contraverse goes super hard too, did it last night and I was tossing Nova Bombs and charged up grenades the whole run. So much fun, I love this modifier. Hopefully they have something for Arc and Solar too.

hope one day they give shield throw the insane tracking it has on hive guardian and the opposing super in pvp, ive died to it so many times where the angle was completely bonkers but when i used it in both pve and pvp itd literally miss the enemy it passed through, hit the wall just behind then and bounce up into nothing or straight up disappear

If the purpose of this build is ability spam, why not use offensive bulwark? It buffs grenade regen by 400%, and with the recent overshield buffs your actually able to keep your overshield and not have it immediately be stripped away.

@@evanellis9178 you'd be surprised how much less overshield and survivability you get in a gm without this "pvp aspect", even with the buff, just using shield throw and the occasional bubble isn't enough to sustain the overshield long-term enough for offensive bulwark to pay off

@@CBeavr In my personal experience I havent used bastion much in endgame pve, mainly because right up until this season overshields would get instantly stripped away. I also would use stuff like comboing a weapon with Repulsor Brace with volatile rounds mainly to get overshields over shield throw and bubble. However due to the overshield buffs as well as the barricade changes it may be worth it

Did they do something to nerf High-Impact scouts? I was using Transfiguration last week, and felt way underwhelmed compared to how I remembered it feeling some seasons ago when they were the Overload breakers. Looks a bit tedious to use in the video as well. Scouts in general feel weaker than I remember, tbh. :/ Being a big fan of Shoot to Loot I figured I'd drop a mention that you can still get the old Nightfall version of Hung Jury (non-Adept) from Zavala's "Legacy Gear" tab; and that one can roll with Shoot to Loot + Kinetic Tremors, which is pretty solid still! It's the one I landed on after swapping out Transfiguration.

If not, which perk would you think fits this build most effectively? I assume you just used regular HOIL as it's more accessible to the average player, which I'm sure everyone appreciates. Depending on how much time you’d want to invest in it. If you have a solid team to take you through dungeons and high end nightfalls, you can have really good loot and get into end game builds really fast. If you’re interested, my wife and I can help you. We’re solo players but we’ve helped many new guardians run dungeons and Master/Grandmaster nightfalls!
