Just a video showing an incredibly long solo clear of the Excision activity being done on Grandmaster difficulty. Details below.
Nearly an hour and a half of running in circles with permanent invis while taking pot shots at Tormentors... well, it's not the most entertaining video, but it gets the job done. There's probably a lot more risks I could've taken to speed it up significantly, but as it was my first clear and I was unfamiliar with most of the enemy spawns, I took it completely safely here.
This was the second time I reached The Witness area, with the first time being sniped at the very start of that phase. I think I had about 7 or so wipes in the earlier area, but that was mostly due to me being impatient and trying to speed things up. So in this attempt I just took it with complete safety, and this was the result. It's not very difficult when being done this way, nor is it the best watching material, but it's a completion anyway.

There were parts in there that looked almost easier solo. The plates at the start for instance are usually complete chaos, but eso just took his time, only killed the enemies that needed killing letting the rest despawn and stayed invisible the whole time. Made it look an absolute cakewalk

As an old man gamer who will never be anywhere near this level of skill as a guardian (and quite happy by the way to leave such feats to your good self,) i watched this completion, shaking my head in amazement and applauding with genuine respect. I don't normally communicate much on here as i much prefer engaging in conversation on twitter (refuse to call it X). But i had to share some words. I am and always will be a solo gamer, and Destiny provides me plenty for my level of gaming enjoyment. What you have shown here is that with the right understanding of builds, patience and a good level of skill, if an activity has an option to be run alone then there is an opportunity to complete it. You give hope to many who wish to try achievements such as this. Great job. Inspiring.

@@mojomanmurph1925 Gaming has indeed evolved.....it's almost unrecognisable nowadays compared to the 70's.Pong included - i am sure i have seen modern variations of this game floating around. Not a bad thing though. Everything moves on and improves. Technology is just part of that change. My more devoted gaming started quite late in life for me, almost to the point where i am playing catch up nowadays. But games are looking fantastic to the eye and running very smooth on the variety of platforms. Spoilt for choice today that's for sure.

I was playing Halo, only the campaigns i should add, and i was looking for something with more character progression and narrative, long term and a world i could really lose myself in. I came across Destiny 1 not long after Taken King was released, it was a hard copy version and the cover art really appealed to me so i done some research...... the rest is history really. Apart from a bit of a hiatus last year where i then changed from console to pc, and discovered games which i didn't have the same access to, Destiny has kept me engaged, in my own little way, for much of this Light and Dark Saga.

Tried to do it with the squad finder thing, actually found 12 people relatively fast, all patient and chill playing like a team together, we of course failed and gave up after 2 hours and 2 attempts.. i was talking with my friend about how "we actually need two teams of 6 players comunicating and coordinating betweent each oth.." Tbh with how this worked, only 10 things you really need to kill besides the witness obviously, mechanics being plate capture or fetch item and groups of enemies mostly staying put or just outright despawning at times... This is probably 100% doable for anyone with good patience, a little area awareness and the ability to pay attention to the kill feed.

How are you doing this?! I just did my GM Excision today and had to play solo for about 10min and I am so sweaty right now! I managed to get some res tokens and we finished the mission with 4 people left (everyone else left the game) but I was absolutely carrying the other ones with one other dude. How can you do this and seem so cool? My heart is absolutely racing and for the most part we were a duo and not even solo like you!

My entire fireteam died except for me and I was able to clutch it up by killing the last corner stone and starting damage phase. We ended up wiping but looping invis hunter like that was so crazy
