Is it a bug that supers have been hitting through barriers/tethers that make enemies immune? I noticed I was damaging enemies through the immune totems trying out arc staff in the weekly nightfall

All supers have the ability to damage through "immune" shieldings (ie, non-barrier shields). So things like shields from servitors or the totems, supers will deal damage to those enemies. Can be a little inconsistent with what works on these bubbles though, and I'm not sure exactly which ones do or don't, but I know Celestial does

Honestly, I really hope they keep turning Battlegrounds and other seasonal activities, both old ones and current ones into GM nightfalls. When the first ones came out they were too hard, but weve caught up to them in terms of power to the point where it begs the question of if they should add another difficulty option above GM.

They were never too hard. GMs have honestly never been remotely difficult since Haunted introduced the Resilience buff and Solar 3.0. Adding battlegrounds into the mix was a bandaid for "variety" and nothing more, and most of them are just plain bad in this playlist. GMs should be a -40 hard cap minimum in the current sandbox, whatever they need to do to make them feel like S15/S16 again (I'd say S10/S11 but those were too much of a slog, but the challenge was amazing).
