Solo hiking 550 km (340 miles) on the Traumpfad - Munich (Bad Tölz) to Venice

In August 2020 I went for a hike on the famous long distance trail "Traumpfad", starting in Munich and finish in Venice. An epic 26 days trail across the Alps, ascends over 20,000 meters (65,000 feet). I skipped the two first days of flat land and started in Bad Tölz. My goal was to cross the Alps from Germany thru Austria to Italy.
My grandpa has always been one of my biggest inspirations, and I wanted him to "experience" how the journey went.

Hey Jesper. 2 years ago i saw this video and it motivated me to do this trek as well (thru-hike) in july 2023. It was one of the best hikes i ever did and it inspired me to do more hiking. I used your guide from your website and it helped me a lot for this trip (and would really recommend to everyone in the comment section). I still watch your video to this day sometimes to remember the beautiful moments of this trip. Without this video, i would never done it. Keep up the good work. I lived in Bad Tölz for 9yrs and hiked many of these same trails. The place is a feast for the eyes. Great food, spotless tourist hotels, crystal clear rivers, pristine forests, great infrastructure, well maintained trails. But in nine years my next door neighbors never spoke to me and ignored my greetings. I miss the beautiful outdoors. My little dog and I were hiking two to three hours every day. Beautiful place.

Wow Jesper, this is amazing! Loved every second of it. The beauty of the environment and the clips were amazing! Laughed a little (ok, not a little) at all your little ‘slips’ and faces afterwards. Especially enjoyed the last clip of your opa and I know the feeling it gives when you show a dear person of that age what you’ve accomplished in this time and era.
