I would love to do the same, but I don't want to break that many laws and regulations. Regardless how amazing nature is. Sarek is a no fly zone for drones, and you are not allowed to have your dog unleashed. You also need to apply for a permit to publish drone footage like this. If you do happen to apply for a permit (spridningstillstånd) Lantmäteriet will send your recording forward to the polis. If you do not have a permit for your drone footage. You risk a hefty fine. So to anyone else watching this, do not do the same as Erik regarless how amazingly beutifull it is.

Thank you for the information! I do respect and abide to the local laws and think it’s very important to conserve our wildlife and nature. I honest to god did not know that Sarek was a no fly zone. I looked for info about it att the STF fjällstuga and even asked the staff as theres usually sign saying it’s not allowed. But they said as long as you follow the law for the rest of the country and don’t fly in the helicopter flying zones it’s fine. As for my dog… I know it’s no excuse, but she is on the lead 95% of the time, only when I’m filming she’s of. I’m not perfect…

Haha your dog and everyone whos dog is not on leash. Also tell that to a person who is really afraid of dogs. 🙂 I am not, I love dogs and all animals, but people need to respect each other. Amazing footage, now everyone who reads this knows that drone is not allowed.

Aa a serious drone pilot and nature lover I get really provoked and disappointed when you break the rules both with drone and dog! If you fly a drone you should be aware of the rules in swedish national parks! And Sarek does not allow dogs at all, except on Kungsleden and then in leash. Get your knowledge before doing things like this.

As I’ve written before I didn’t have the knowledge about flying drones in sarek. I feel bad for this and will in the future make sure I do comply with local regulations. Im only human, I make mistakes, can’t un make them, only learn from them 👍 As for my dog. I’m only hiking on kungsleden. Second, she on a lead 95% the time, and I always make sure she’s on a lead around other hikers as I know some people are scared of big doggies.

Ooo wow, I thought 100% that was part of the kungsleden. There were lots of dogs on the short part of the trail surprisingly. More and clearer information at the fjällstation would be helpful!
