People in Morocco are not bothered by the sight of pigeon droppings or birds in general. If a pigeon nests in his window, he will feed it and take care of it. If a pigeon defecates on a Moroccan's head, he will wipe it away with a scented handkerchief while laughing.

Great video ! I'm Moroccan born and raised in Casablanca but been living in Canada for the past decade. Let me tell you something, you went to some places I would NEVER go to especially the alleys in that market. As a foreigner or a tourist, you would feel safe because the locals there wouldn't want to mess with you. However, if you were Moroccan, I don't think you would've kept your camera, your cellphone and your wallet. Sad to say it but it's the reality

Exactly my thoughts! I'm Moroccan too (female) not from Casablanca but from Rabat (the capital of Morocco and neighbouring city of Casablanca) and just watching him go through the small alleys gave me anxiety. Specially as a female, I could never walk around there. He had no idea of the danger of those alleys because he's a foreigner. He thinks because women and kids are there then it's safe but he doesn't know that it works differently in Moroccan hoods, those women and children are from there so everyone knows them and no one would harm them, everyone knows everyone there and they recognize the new faces so naturally if he was Moroccan who does not belong to that neighbourhood they would have spotted him and he would have been mugged the first few minutes. He got a special treatment for being a tourist.
