Your videos are always full of good info . Also that is some impressive paddling there... I don't know that many guys half your age that could do that. I'm new to kayak fishing so I'm still learning and your videos are a huge help. I hope to see you out there one day.

What a workout! I troll on my Hobie and those big baits creat a lot of drag. I can’t imagine paddling that far dragging those things around. Beautiful day and another really well done video!

Great video Dan, looks like a very relaxing place to paddle on days like that. I was wondering, seeing the countour map of your route, have you ever tried fishing over those pinnacles we can just see SSW of pt. 3 on. your map? Tight lines matey, and good luck getting some mahi in the hatch!

Wow, it was a lake out there. Bummer that they weren't around, but that looked like a great day out anyways.🤘

It was awesome out there, but it definitely would have been nice to have spotted some Dorado out there!🎣😃

Dan, nice day on the water. Dorados only five miles off the coast in the LA/OC area? A lot has changed since I left. It used to be San Clemente Island and south. Some years the northern run was only as far north as San Diego/Coronado Islands. Thanks for sharing.

The next day after filming this video, we caught some Dorado 10 miles outside the entrance to Huntington Harbour. Haha… I should probably mention we were fishing from a small boat!🎣😃

Weather looking great out there. Are there any thoughts or plans for spotted bay bass fishing in HB harbor?
@losthorizonfishing1072 жыл бұрын
Hi Liam… no immediate plans for a spotty session in Huntington Harbour, but possibly later on in the fall!🎣😃

Lots of exercise on a gorgeous day! Max I've been off shore in my Hobie Outback is 3 miles. - I do carry a radio set on Channel 16 just in case..... Would love to get to a kelp paddy out there and nail some dorado! Better luck next time, but nice action closer in with the bass. And the go-to Nomads!

Hi Dan, do you use a car roof rack to transport the Fisha 555? I ordered a Profisha 525 and I am wondering what roof rack would be adequate to transport this kayak. Thanks.
@losthorizonfishing1072 жыл бұрын
Hi Eduardo… congratulations on your Profisha 525 purchase. In the video I released today, you can see the setup I use to haul my 555 around. But… when I first purchased my 555, my truck was being used by one of my daughters, so I used the standard roof racks on my wife’s Toyota Rav 4. I made a cradle for my kayak with a 5 foot long, boxed piece of aluminum, and two Malone Mega Wings to support the kayak. It works really good on both my truck and my wife’s Rav 4. If you have any more questions or need more details, you can always DM me on the Lost Horizon Fishing Instagram page.🎣😃

Thanks Dan. I saw your latest video and took a close look of your transportation setup. Very nice. I have a Subaru Outback and the crossbars spans 40”. Ruben thinks I may need an extended rack for the Profisha 525. I decided to take my chances with Goodboys V racks. This rack extends the supports about 7 ft and seems they have experience with Stealth kayaks from previous orders. Please keep posting. I enjoy your videos, they are motivating. Thanks.
@losthorizonfishing1072 жыл бұрын
I notice most of the Australian guys just throw their Stealths on top of their cars using the standard roof racks. The Goodboys V Rack should work great. I’m like you, I didn’t like the idea of too much unsupported weight.🎣😃

I forgot to ask, but I’m assuming if you’re making your purchase through Ruben, you must be located in California. Are you down here in SOCAL?🎣😃
@eduardohart98992 жыл бұрын
I live in NJ. My ocean ground goes from Cape May in NJ to Freeport Maine. I may be one of the few, if not the only one, paddeling an Stealth kayak in this coast. Ruben is the dealer in the USA. My kayak will be shipped to Florida from where I will arrange transportation to my home. The ETA is not known so in the mean time I have an Stealth Fusion 480 that I got last year. Thanks.

Aren't you afraid of sharks with your feet 🐾 in the water heard of guys getting there feet bite off
@losthorizonfishing1072 жыл бұрын
Honestly… I never really think about it. Years of surfing with my legs dangling in the water is probably why. It wouldn’t be impossible for shark to bite your feet, but here in Southern California, it’s not a likely thing to happen.🎣😃
@Walker82kg2 жыл бұрын
@@losthorizonfishing107 really cuz I heard south Cali is the worse .. you got big bull sharks and great whites
@losthorizonfishing1072 жыл бұрын
No Bull Sharks here, but we do have Great White Sharks. I’ve not seen a Great White Shark out on the water yet, but I have caught a couple of Thresher sharks.🎣😃

@@losthorizonfishing107 you never seen a shark out there eh hmmmm either way my friend you are brave ever hear of attacks in that area heard one at Monterey Bay recently lots of juvenile great whites in the shallows in South Cali there more likely to attack due to inexperience..stay safe my friend
