On the point of Mana potions: This is pointed out in the Solo Leveling Arise game, but the idea of Potions hadn't been fully explored by humanities technology and was closer to being a kind of Supplement. In fact during a side story when Jinho see's a prototype Mana supplement being used by his cousin (an A-rank Hunter), he gets confused because he'd seen Jinwoo drink something similar dozens of times by that point in the story. As for Igris, he has indeed been nerfed. The shadow's in the source material are about half as strong as they were in life at the moment. This limiter does come off much later but it won't be for a while, won't say what happens to trigger that evolution.

@@kanyerahmingIf I remember correctly it’s Shadow Igris that’s nerfed. Any creature Jinwoo raises as his summon is nerfed, and not as powerful as the real thing. But yeah, I think Shadow Igris was stronger than Jinwoo at the start. He really lucked out.

A-1 is not that much better than Mappa, they produce a bunch of anime with some suffering delays due to production issues. Animators constantly suffer with most studios but the culture makes them just take it. We heard so much about Mappa because that situation was particularly messed up and downright criminal, one of the animators was literally animating while in the hospital (the animator said JJK was not related to why they were hospitalized) but the fact they couldn't even afford to stop during that time is insane.

Wit is very very stable, plans projects and has a globe of talent, and gets their money Mappa has 500 employers, gobs of talent, planning its projects, and gets paid like no tomorrow

But, it has worked, Mappa and Wit studios are studios that when you pump and pump projects that will not only get you cash but talent and build off of that it can work. Aniplex is just holding A-1 Pictures back from being at that Wit level ( Aniplex does do some decent planning on some projects tho

Until recently, I never understood why T.O.G. s2 gets so much hate. The animation & art, even though I have no problems with it, fans are upset it doesn't match the webtoon like s1 did. As for the action, I rewatched the scene where Bam fought the guy with his name tattooed on his back. And it was all close up & in your face, quickly jumping between characters, not making the fight clear & easy to see. So yeh, I kinda understand why T.O.G. fans aren't happy.

The way the episode went, from Jinwoo catching the arrow, to soloing, unarmed, all those bears, and the fight with the armies, was so great. I also love how they are building up to the Juju island fight. Jinwoo is about to gain 2 powerful shadows.

they didn't even animate him fighting the bears, just cut away and cut back to them dead. the final fight had no choreography, seemingly teleporting around instead of animating movement and used panel cut aways instead of animating final or heavy blows, just a spurt of blood across the screen signifying something impressive happened off camera. The animation has lessened, re-watch the ignis fight from last season then watch this episodes fight right after...it's significantly different. its not on par with Jujutsu Kaizen anymore

Oh and for the people that don't know, the anime is going to be focusing a lot more on the side characters and allowing them to shine and not get completely outshined by Sung Jinwoo, which was a major concern in the Manwha. This is coming directly from the Director or one of top head Producers of the anime. So, we can look forward to Cha Hae In having more screentime.

Cuss I saw season 1 before i read the entire Manwa and I was surprised how easy the fight against the hell dog thing looked in the Manwa compared to the anime

The whole anime to this point has had very detailed, very well defined, and well colored characters....it has given life as if this was a live action and the voice acting is superior to many. The sound tracks are also on point. Say what you will but the building blocks of the show from the animation to the colors are true to the manwha.

You forgot that the dungeon itself is a sentient character. When Sung Jninwoo figured it was too easy for the purpose that he brought the girl along for the Dungeon decided to help him a bit by making a red gate! Its just a little above Sung Jonwoo's level as well. Giving him a chance to grow and develop his new shadow army and to explore his new abilities. It also serves the Dungeon by getting rid of weaker characters who are not really the rank they claim.

One critique, which is a minor one, is that they showed his mana bar being drained constantly, rather than in small jumps. That appears to contradict him saying "i can't resummon them", because the expectation would be that the constant draining of mana was a result of sustain the summons
