What a job! Good execution being on your own, it could have went south real quick. Glad it worked out for you with no issues. Looking good for the finish now, going to be nice when done. Stay safe out there.

Nice conclusion of my Saturday with your latest video!... ............13:47mins. later. Fantastic work. the mounting of the logs was a bit frightening though, but the result looks very aesthetic! 👌

Your rigging worked well. Nice job on the joinery of the posts and joists. It's entertaining to watch your projects.

Just an idea but try putting a couple boards on the racks of your wheeler. Then use that to stand on instead of those wobbly pieces of wood. Great job putting it together 👍👍

Glad to see the progress you are making on the wood shack. Definitely understand the worry about that tree. Just be careful with that one.

Amazing how light the wood is, there is no way I could lift a gum tree log that size.

Ryley, job well done! Just a suggestion in structurally soundness; consider “X” out the side panels you made to keep snow load moving the structure during the winter. All the best from Alaska.

Nice job, but I wouldn't build anymore until that leaning tree is down. No point having that fall on the finished shed when you know it is going to fall in the first storm
@Jman765334 ай бұрын
Probably a smart idea to take down those two trees before it hits the new firewood shack. I don’t think you’ll regret it!
@georgeclark72084 ай бұрын
I humbly recommend that you take that leaning tree down before you build anymore. No reason to spend energy worrying about it.
@Bushman94 ай бұрын
I agree. All the weight is on one side… and not the side you want it on. And that split trunk means some of the roots on the stump side might not be offering much support for the tree.
@watchmenpropertyinspection34694 ай бұрын
you could probably tie it to the other huge tree. use a ladder to tie it as high as possible (on the tree your falling). will definitely want to use wedges to direct it AWAY from your bridge and building project. that would be 2 disaster protections in the wedges and tree tie, plus a proper tree falling cut (which im sure you know how to do already). i think u can do it!

Nice idea with the rope. I just recently did this for my cabin with 12" thick logs, 25' long. Used a cum-a-long.
