Thanks again for the Vid Andy. If you dont mind can i share a crabbing tip from an old boy gun crabber i know.. instead of using those little mesh bait bags, make your own out of 150mm or so lengths of 50mm pressure pipe - PVC. Glue one end cap on, then drill a hole through the other end while its on the pipe so it goes through both the cap and pipe - the spring pin will then go through the net and pipe to attach to net. Then drill a lot a holes into the body of the pipe. Use cast netted herring as bait in the pipe, the crabs go mental for them.. and will stay in the pots because they (and other fish etc) cant get through the pipe to take the bait. Every time ive used this setup ive ckeaned up, provided the crabs are there.. also put your pots in the drain entrances as far up the creeks as you can get! Cheers

Great vid Andy love ur big boat trips👍👍 I think from experience that those pots r too small and don’t catch crabs anywhere near like the bigger versions as I think big cod etc can shove their head thru the holes and rip the bait off? I have modified my smaller pots openings with a few cable ties an now use them for catching redclaw👍 Stay safe budd 🤙
