When really trying to learn Kerrigan, I found that what was holding me back from improving early on was the lack of a concrete macro opener. With no Twin Drones (Zagara) or accelerated Larvae production (Abathur), innovation is required to optimize Kerrigan's ability to saturate in a quick, timely manner.
The masteries into the Vespene Gas Cost Reduction and Expeditious Evolution are extremely important for this to work if you plan to use her units.
I found that the accelerated research time and the reduced cost more allows you to focus on establishing your economy and make up for the time you delay your tech as by then, your economy will be able to take advantage of your setup to produce a lot of units and get tech in such a timely matter.
Towering Walkers was chosen because Scouts and Sentries do little to fight back against Mutalisks.
I also just wanted to try out Folly of Man. Despite being turned into a glass cannon with this prestige, I only died once as Kerrigan.
Pretty good start to practice for the Kerrigan tests.
