Just did this route yesterday and today. Just getting into this and found this video and decided to give it a whirl. Awesome! Duncan Ridge was a bit intense, but had a blast.

The close up of the privy rates a ten on the unnecessary scale. I haven't been in Cooper's Creek in twenty years. I apparently need to bike around those roads. Very pretty. And that was a hobbit set up tarp, you need to be two feet tall to enjoy it. Fun ride, pretty in the mountains in Autumn.

It rained that night. I had a hammock but decided to bunker down because of the high winds that came through. Cheers!

I live in Atlanta and just moved out from Colorado a few months ago. How do you find/make your routes? I haven’t been bike packing since I moved and I am super unfamiliar with the south east. Thanks for the help, I enjoyed the video!

Hey Brenton, First welcome to Atlanta, and thanks for watching and leaving a comment. I've spent a lot of time in and around the bull/jake mountain trail system, so I know that area pretty well from riding both singletrack and the surrounding gravel roads, and doing a lot of research on google maps. Since I'm comfortable with that area, I typically plan most of my trips in that part of Georgia. Checkout the Cohutta Cat and Trans North Georgia bikepacking routes to learn about the trails and roads they use. Here are some other areas in North Georgia to checkout: - Cohutta Wilderness near Fort Mountain State Park offers the Pinhoti trails and dozens of forest service roads. - Chattahoochee National Forest near Bull/Jake Mtn Trail System offers miles of singletrack and dozens of forest services roads that can take you to Cooper Creek WMA. - Near Helen and Unicoi State Park offer even more forest service roads and climbs. Popular Bikepacking Routes: Cohutta Cat www.bikepacking.com/event/cohutta-cat-2017/ Trans North Georgia www.bikepacking.com/routes/trans-north-georgia-tnga/ Toecutters - offers group bikepacking trips toecutters.com/ Cool place to stay: Mulberry Gap Mtn Bike Getaway www.mulberrygap.com/ -neverbikealone

Thinking about it, just need a weekend to open up. How about you?

neverbikealone ...I have yet to go on a bikepacking trip but I have the gear. I'm so wrapped up in just riding. If you plan for a weekend in March, except for the 1st weekend and the weekend of the 25th, let me know as I might like to tag along. I need to sort through my gear and make sure I have space for everything. I'm on Instagram under "bradyessary", or there might be a "dot" between my 1st and last name
