Awesome video. I would love to see you field test any kit you build or buy for a 72 hour period, since most search and rescue operations consider the first 72 hours after a disaster or missing/lost hiker report the "golden hours" of when to find someone alive, and will be when search and rescue efforts are the most motivated and prolific. Would also be a good way of demonstrating all that can be done within 72 hours.

“Hope you really like this video “… Absolutely love your videos… You are so “in your element “ that it makes me wish I was there…🥹 I need to go back through your videos… in a survival setting, There are times when you don’t want to leave your vehicle? Maybe show some survival techniques specifically using your truck or SUV ? ( that’s probably a dumb request with all the survival information you’ve supplied, huh? ) See you next Sunday… Be safe…🙏🏻😇
@memathews
@memathews 2 жыл бұрын
That's a great request! Working SAR we don't want people leaving their vehicle, it's generally the largest sign that someone is in a location. Every year there are lost or stranded families on car trips in Nevada, Idaho, Oregon, California, etc., an understanding of what to have in a car and hope to use it would be helpful to some folks.

I like this canteen cup survival kit idea. I have a smallish haversack that I store the 5 C's for my wife's car and a Ranger roll as well. After watching this I'm gonna add a few other items to make it a little more substantial. I keep going back and forth between wanting to get the Henry or TPS arms M6 survival rifle, I like the dual caliber capability of the TPS or the semi automatic option with the Henry. You're definitely one of my favorite survival channels on here, you and Corporals Corner who turned me on to your channel. Keep it up and I'll keep watching.

Another excellent video. For reference, the Henry AR-7 can hold a magazine in the receiver brining it to 3 enclosed magazine. The Armalite and Charter Arms versions kept you to 2 mags. Just a heads up
@psubs2001
@psubs2001 2 жыл бұрын
My Charter Arms AR-7 from the 1980's only holds one magazine in the butt stock. A magazine in the receiver prevents the receiver from sliding all the way inside the butt stock. You have to remove the magazine from the receiver and slide it into the butt stock magazine cavity. I truly appreciate the improvements that Henry has made to the AR-7.

Great video Brings back memories of 1983 hunter safety class. Having to build a survival kit out of a bandaid tin. Wish I still had it. Bandaid box was container Tiny mirror Stike anywhere matches dipped in candle wax Water purification tablets Needle and thread And so on Couldn’t believe it all fit but what a awesome kit we had to build for hunter safety and I caried it for a few years until being a dumb 11-12 year old lost it somwere.
