The greatest hypocrisy of this game and the community is that the sword which requires the squirreliest of movement skills to be good at is called “skill-less” while the double gunners who claim to be Gods at the game use a weapon that literally doesn’t require aim to one shot someone as their primary crutch in CQC. I’ve done both, and in a meta where the blunderbuss’s one shot potential is king, being a god at sword hopping and lunging requires way more skill and is way more impressive. Hats off to Hitbo for sticking it to the wannabe sweats and fighting the good fight.

Tbf when most people say the sword doesn't require skill, they're talking about spammers. Not disagreeing with you but the fact that a very new player can run towards a high level player while spamming and stun lock and kill them means it doesn't take skill. But being a real sword lord absolutely does! Ultimately, all combos are good but blundie/snipe is highest dps so that's what most high level players use but all weapons require skill to use correctly. I would say pistol/snipe requires the most skill though cuz it requires you to hit all your shots(hit reg gods permitting) and is most powerful if you're good enough cuz blundie/sword need to be close, but pistol/snipe doesn't.

"You just need to dodge" people when the guy with the funny blunderbuss one taps you while shooting at the air 1 meter to your side. One tap weapons is the least fun thing in games and even less fun when the game has the shittiest netcode with the massive hitreg problem But to be frank the entire hand-to-hand pvp is pretty trash all around

No idea how this crew became faction champion. They never eat, they ram the island, they shoot the fort over and over at the same position. There is no game sense in these pirates.
