👍Everyone worries about over weight. But if you consider how heavy the seats are that people take out. And what mini vans were built for, or the weight of car seats, passengers or teens. I think you are doing fine! Tho I have found that often my clothes weigh as much as my foods. I'm also glad that I'm not the only one who drags foods from home, or my base camp. 😂 I'd rather use what I have and not have to, buy it, until I really need too. Thanks for the tour.

I recently drove from nj to Florida . I slept in Cracker Barrel while on the road . Very quiet and I felt safe

The van is nicely done. Looks comfy and neat. I thought that when you said you were taking three dogs, they'd be small ones. Then I went to your channel, and....well, they aren't small at all!! LOL The van may not stay neat, but no doubt lots of frolicking fun will be had! Maybe sometime you'll show us how you made your water filter too. Enjoy!!

this is great! one last touch you should get is a magnetic mosquito mesh for the doors or your trunk so you can keep the doors open without getting bugs in . safe travels and have fun!

Nice set up. I was curious how you'd configure everything. I had a minivan years ago I camped in just locally and had a twin sized foam mattress behind the front seats. Not much room for anything else. Nice seeing how you did yours. Thanks for sharing and God bless you and your doggies.

Thanks, yeah, there's not much room left in here after I got everything loaded and all of us in here and it is a little bit cramped at night. Because they all think they can sleep where mom sleeps. And there's just not enough room on that one little cot for all of us. 🤣

Be careful sleeping in a tent the van is safer. I’m glad you have the dogs to warn you of trouble. Put your shoes in some sort of bag so as not to transfer dirt to your foods. Sending prayers God bless🙏

The tent was all I had on that trip.And I had a queen-sized bed and we were on a friend's private property. So I wasn't too concerned and I have guns as well. So I'm not really worried about that, but thank you. I hope you have a great evening!

Did you check the weight limit for your tire? Different tires, different weight limits... Yes, weight limits on tires can be less than weight limits for the van...

Thank you, I explained what I needed and what my weight would be. And they gave me what they thought would be the best tires for that. It's my local shop and I trust that. I go there all the time, so they have never steered me wrong yet.

My tire load index is 100H, that is more than enough as it allows more weight than my van is even rated for.

I have a Queen size inflatable mattress that goes in the tent. And because I have three 70 plus pound dogs that try to get in bed with me. That single cot in the minivan just wasn't working I couldn't get any sleep. I've found a full size conversion van and I'll be making more videos getting that setup and camping as soon as the weather gets warmer.

It's a Chrysler Town & County, a 2008 model. The seats normally stow in those compartments but I removed them.

It's not a small car, it's a quite large minivan. And we stop numerous times a day at dog parks to let them play. So I guess you'll just have to get over it.

Looks great! So cozy! If you don't mind my suggesting...You really need to put packing wrap (or even dish towels) between your glass jars of food. Also, I bought a small Porta Potty for $15, at a yard sale. It has a small fresh water holding tank (for manual flushing of the bowl), and you just pull a flap out and your stuff drops down into the holding tank). You add a little blue liquid deodorizer/disinfectant and water to the tank, and when it's full, it pops off, and has a handle for carrying. When on the road, I put it into a canvas bag, and nonchalantly carry it into public Porta Johns, or gas station store bathrooms to empty. (McDonald's bathrooms are always by a door, so if you can find out which one, you can scoot right in to empty it.) The best part -no smell. Even the new ones only costs like $50. They're very basic. My point - You don't want to sleep with a human litterbox, in that little space (even pee). Not only will it smell awful, it'll put bacteria into the air. Very unhealthy. Good luck with your journey. Please keep yourself and the pups away from ponds and waterways in Florida. Every year, people and their pets (usually tourists & new retirees) get attacked and kld by alligators, while walking their dogs by fresh water areas there (even at camp grounds!). They're very stealthy, incredibly fast, and deadly. Also, even while taking pictures, keep on the lookout for alligators and criminals too. Carry bear spray. (or something better) Sending prayers for a safe, fun trip! ❤
