Yeah all these vids have been good! Great channel. Q: Did you start another server or you decided to play on a different one? All the other videos are from Enigma Cold War server.
@Enigma892 жыл бұрын
@@Sandboxcode This is just me playing on another server. If you look back to my channel as a whole, I spent a lot of time making videos playing on a lot of other servers. Korea '52, Finnish Server, Alpenwolf's Cold War, Growling Sidewinder, etc etc. I like the idea that server owners can take the same game but make it feel completely different by shaping a world within their server and I like exploring them all to see which ones I vibe with. If I find one that I think is interesting, I try to share it out so others can have fun as well. Even though I have a server on DCS, I do not believe it is the only server in DCS. There are others that are fun too and this one I have fun on.

It is crazy how fast you lose muscle memory when you havent flown a module in a while especially when it is not FF and you have to map everything

I absolutely did find this video and your approach of looking outside, important. I beginning to see your approach to the game. RWR is critical, good video

Nice video, and great kills. Love seeing the cobra switch getting used in any circumstance >:) I gotta ask though because it was driving me nuts in the F-18 fight @ 2:42 and @ 7:10 when sneaking up under the F-16 with EO: why do you never change the radar elevation, even when you know the target is above you? Never touching PRF modes can be forgiven because in a server with restricted weapons it doesn't add a ton of utility, but never changing your radar elevation is an egregious misuse of glorious Su-27
@RJFlyer2 жыл бұрын
Also the radar azimuth was mismanaged, it was left to the left when engaging the 2nd DL contact in the first engagement. @Enigma might want to work on that rusfor sensor management a lil more.
@stuntpuppy85572 жыл бұрын
@@RJFlyer tbh I rarely change the scan zone left and right because I'm gonna launch missiles nose-on anyway, and I very rarely have cause to be scanning to my left and right because datalink. More useful in MiG-29 though
@RJFlyer2 жыл бұрын
@@stuntpuppy8557Id reccomend you start using L/R scan zone, huge advantage in close in situations.

I did but it just did not make it in the video for the second engagement. I try to be respectful of people's time and cut out any long parts where very little (or nothing) happens to keep the total video time to 12 minutes. In my other Flanker videos, you can see I make common use of it. For the first engagement, it was more just not having time to react quick enough before he launched.

really interesting to watch in the first fight how did manage to know you had defeated the missile

The RWR. In general the RWRs are super accurate / fast response in DCS so as soon as it stops then you know it lost track.

what is the difference between the R-73 and R-77? same question with all the different R27s.
@Enigma892 жыл бұрын
R-73 is a Fox-2 missile (Heatseeker). It can be fired offbore and at short ranges. R-77 is not on this server and is a fox-3 missile, meaning it is truly fire and forget and will guide itself. R-27 is a fox-1 missile so semi-active. You have to keep your radar lock to guide the missile.
Hey, you might not asnwer. But i'm just curious. Why are you using T's and R's instead of ET's and ER's?

Interesting that Redfor has English default DCS AWACS? Can we get that on the CW server? The Russian BRAA calls are terrible, especially in VR. (really wish ED would make this player toggle-able, I mean, among so many other things...)
@Enigma892 жыл бұрын
Will look into it. The AWACs is tricky for us because of the different radio bands in each plane, the cold war ones are pretty particular so not sure about the nuances.
