A nice chilled out lil tarp camp - I popped the tarp up in a simple lean-to configuration, tried a down blanket for the first time (nice and floofy!!) and showed my delicious baps for ‪@ksgonewild‬'s #ShowUsYourBaps, in aid of breast cancer awareness 🍔🍔

Another sweet, efficient camp in the books! I’ve done a lot of nights under a tarp or poncho in all seasons. I found that during a long or heavy rain the water would gather along the edge of the tarp or poncho, then run down the inside and eventually drop on my gear when the edge was configured to a ridge line like you do here. I started bringing the edge of the tarp over the ridge line about the width of my hand which put the edge facing down. This kept the rain outside. Granted, you will need to add tie lines and stake them to the ground, but you will be dry. Outstanding meals!!

Hi Miss Claire . Once again you set up your camp and explained it all. Great job explaining when camping between oak trees to watch out for falling branches. Love that smile you have. I need to walk my back acres to see how many oranges , grapefruit , lemons and limes i have We had freezing temperatures where I live . It also emits a foul smell from glands on its abdomen. They can give a nasty nip. On a cold night, I find nothing beats a nice wool blanket. Keeps you warm even when it's wet, and it won't catch an errant spark or cinder from a fire, and become a fire hazard. I also don't take alcoholic beverages with me, as they tend to rob body heat and make you colder.

Aw thanks Barry, so glad you like them, I love to make them, so means a lot to me :D My biggest scare was on Snowdon's Watkin Path.. I was doing it with my huge overnight rucksack on (daft idea) and I got stuck on a scree slope high up around 1000m, on my hands & knees, in quite a precarious position because the scree slid whenever I tried to move and if it slid too much, I would go with it over the edge of an outcrop. I was absolutely terrified and basically frozen, not sure what to do. I decided I would turn onto my bum and slowly edge myself back the way I'd come, but a couple of lovely guys (it was very busy thankfully) said that if I could get myself off this bit of scree I'd be fine. They literally plonked a rock down behind me so that I had something to push up off of, and I was able to get back onto solid ground and make the summit - because of the kindness of strangers! Watkins was quite an achievement for me with my fear of heights, and it was an incredible feeling to do it, but I'm much more careful and cautious about what I'm climbing up on to now Joy.. ahh man I don't know haha, so many.. my first ever multi-night trip in the Rhinogs meant the world to me. It was so beautiful and it helped me to realise that I could do things that I previously didn't think I was capable of. I've had another couple of trips this year that have felt like that - 3 nights in the Snowdon Range and the other was 3 nights in the Carneddau. Most recently, I had just a single night on Snowdon last weekend that absolutely blew me away. My heart is so glad from it 🥰 I'm editing it now so hopefully that one will be out next week.
