The hospital for foreigners in Prague- Motol, is cheap. It is actually illegal to enter the Czech Republic without insurance which covers someone there, although it is not enforced. It's best to use the app for tram tickets, instead of paper tickets.

Oh wow I didn’t realise it’s illegal. I looked up entry requirements beforehand but didn’t see mention of insurance! Thanks for flagging and good to know about the app for tram tickets

@@LuisaTona It's rather vague in the Czech Ministry for Foreign Affairs website, but in several locations it mentions valid medical insurance which covers Schengen zone is required. For Uk citizens they need a global health insurance card.
