I had a great trip by myself last week 😊 I love getting out of the city sometimes, especially during winter since I love to look at the snow (but not live in it heh) Have you traveled to Japan in winter before? It's one of my favorite times of year to do it...everything feels so peaceful in the snow 😇 And there's nothing better than an onsen overlooking banks of snow!!! It's the best feeling in the world 💕

thank you for doing these videos among the chaos that’s going on in the world. it’s a reminder of all the “small” things in our lives we as humans should love and treasure. 💜

I loved this beautiful video. When I was in my 20's and early 30's, I used to go on vacations by myself too, and this video was so nostalgic for me. I truly enjoyed exploring a new place by myself and relaxing on my own, and your video captured that feeling for me exactly. I'm almost 60 years old now, but I enjoy your videos so much because you remind me of myself at your age. I still live in the US and never traveled abroad, but we have a lot in common nonetheless. I think you are brave, and I admire that you are true to yourself. ❤(and I love pink and gaming and manga and anime and cuteness and afternoon tea and fancy coffee drinks too)

Oh this looks all so nice and cozy! I’d love to see Japan in Winter some time. Hopefully the borders open soon for tourists again fingers crossed 🤞 and until then I just enjoy your lovely videos about it. So thanks for sharing!

Such a pretty video! I miss snow so much, I live in a place that barely gets any and it never sticks longer than a night, but I grew up in a place where we got snowed into our houses at least once a year lol. Thanks for all the pretty and kinda nostalgic clips of so much snow! Solo travel looks so relaxing. I'd really never want to do it in the States, particularly as a woman, but I'm really looking forward to it in Japan. So nice that it's safe enough for that! Also I just noticed that your subscriber count is almost at 10k!!! How exciting!!! This is the first time I've really watched a channel grow like this, I was around before you got monetized and only had a couple hundred subscribers. You've worked really hard on your channel and it's so cool to see you growing! Congrats!

I enjoy following you along in your life in Japan Allison. Nothing wrong with going by yourself and seeing all those beautiful places. I hate winter now but only because I live with snow 6 months of the year, but I would still visit places like this. Keep doing what your doing and ありがとうございます

What a peaceful and tranquil town! I remember Karuizawa from Ouran High School Host Club, and there's a scene of the outdoor shopping center. It looks just like the anime, except for the snow. LOL. I loved the video and can't wait to see the second part! Thank you. :)

This place looks so cute! I'm a 2021 JET who is (still lol) waiting to depart due to covid so I've missed the winter season for this year but I will definitely be putting Karuizawa on my list of places to visit for next year for my snow fix!!!

your videos inspired me to plan a winter trip this year to kanazawa and matsumoto (and nagano) and now considering adding karuizawa after seeing this video. i'm thinking 2/3 nights in kanazawa, 1 night nagano, day trip to matsumoto, and 1/2 nights in karuizawa? number of nights enough or too much for any of those places? rest of trip will be in tokyo (total 13 days). will be my 5th trip to japan, i'm a solo traveler just like you! thank you for your videos!

I love these type of solo travel videos! I can’t wait to do some of these myself when in Japan. Also, there was a point where you say “that’s rare” about a person walking down the street with a white flag. What was that about?

This looks like a lovely place to visit. Your choice of music was perfect for it. Say, how do you handle the nakedness with the onsen? It's terrifying to me. I couldn't do it. It's underrated how nice it is to not have to wait for someone else to get ready or have to cater to someone else's taste as far as meals. I traveled with a friend once who took about 1 1/2 hours to get ready every morning. I think in total it was over 6 hours of time wasted waiting for her. That's a big chunk of a vacation lost. :( Though solo travel can seem a bit daunting and scary too.
@AllisoninTokyo2 жыл бұрын
thanks!! it’s scary at first but it’s best to go with someone else your first time who’s done it before 😆 now i’ve done it probably like 50 times….so it’s no problem 🙈 and ahhh i know what you mean, everyone’s schedules are different 😭
