I am extremely impressed at the skill you displayed clearing lines and the deck while hooked up. That’s a tough one when you’re solo. Congrats on the awesome day!

Clear the lines before you slow the boat down, then fight the fish. Awesome day fishing! Keep it up!

Great video, you have some serious money invested there! A double hookup could get really interesting, lol.

Some nice fish mate, I’ve done a lot of solo game fishing. Some friendly advice, just troll with two rods, keep the boat going ahead when clearing the other rod. Stay calm do everything nice and slow it can be dangerous on your own. Nice video great fish Tasmania looks awesome. Tight lines Dave 👊👊

Thanks mate I would normally only run a couple of rods by myself but they was being real fussy that day and I wasn’t sure what lure would work the best! I ended up dropping back to two rods once I found out! Tasmania is awesome 👍

did the same thing as u a month ago, went solo on the bass strait, first 10 minutes of trolling i hooked one got him upto the boat soon as i gaffed him my lure got spat out, felt that lucky, ended up catching 6 others but tagged and released them for someone else to catch in the near future fish on!

Epic video mate! I'm in Vic and just started to get into blue fin. I'm still not really sure on how to use reels - Watching your video you lift drag lever op to strike position after fish hits and starts taking line?

i dont like that you not show gaffing and boating the fish and the biggist part that you dont have a safety line on you, you are by your self if the fish pull you over and you are hurt you could drift away from yhe boat and god only knows. i use to fish by my self and i know i lost a freind at sea.since then i never go out by my self too many things can go wrong. good luck and happy fishing and stay safe.
