Summit Wild Camp on Western Fells

Summit camping on Dent Fell, an outlying Wainwright and also the first real climb on the Coast to Coast route from Whitehaven.
The weather was near perfect, the views were clear and the wildlife was thriving. Had a minor hiccup in that I’d forgotten coffees/cup, but other than that a stellar camp.

Nice views.... that tent looks quite light.. I don't have a tunnel tent in my collection... iam considering getting one, probably the fjallraven abisco light 2. Take care out there.

money ensures mine’s gonna be a vango 🤣 heard great things about the fjallravens like, tunnels are fairly roomy for their weight

@@ivebeaneverywhere I save up for a long time to buy expensive kit.. I will sell one of my other tents to help pay for the new one.. iam on a really tight budget, I couldn't afford a jetboil for example... when I started buying my own kit, I could only afford eurohike stuff.. terrible sleeping bags ( stuffed with a duvet from home) cooking on campfires with a pot I pulled out of a bin... it was lucky I was young n healthy and able to carry the weight.... I have never had the pleasure of owning a vango though came close to buying the banshee.... Take care out there.

@@ivebeaneverywhere must not forget about charity shops... I try to do a day of charity shops, once a week.. I have got loads of expensive kit for next to nothing , from charity shops... think of it , old grandad dies but has shelfs of camping kit worth thousands of pounds!, but no-one in the family is a camper , so it's all just tatt to them....... off to the charity shop it goes...Take care out there.
