Nice upload mate. There's very little space up top for a tent for sure. I've wild camped up there a couple of times up near the chiseled graffiti but with minimal gear, just a mat and a goretex bivvy and can tell you I was very comfortable and warm winter and summer and the views of the night sky were astounding. I took a basha along in case of rain/snow but never used it on both occasions. I dont know if you are aware of it but there is a cave nearby which is awesome to overnight in. If you want directions let me know. Good luck next time.

Remember my first solo camp in the lakes, 2 hr drive from Sunderland excited but apprehensive, got there dinner time hiked up I think rannerdale knotts heavens opened and 50mph wind was wet tired and bailed about 10pm was gutted, but always another day, now I just take an hour to adjust to the surroundings and calm down alot easier, great video appreciate it all the best marra 👍🏕️

My first solo was at Rothbury, it took me ages to pluck up the courage with my anxiety. But loved every minute of it then I was hooked.

Don't class it as a failure its all experience mate what size tent did you have you walked past a cracking spot along the top ridge I camped at ages ago in my lanchan one what chest pack you got I'm looking for something like that atvb Jimmy 😎😎

Cheers for watching Jimmy! I’ve got the lanshan 1.5/leaning tower I think it’s called. Only pitched up once and fairly large. Ground was sodden all over! The chest pouch is called the OMM chest pod - on sale on their website at the moment mate and it fits the DJI Spark remote, two batteries and my go pro easily. ATB 🤙🏻

Hahaha I commented on one of your other videos that my last camp was up in the Simonside hills and we had exactly the same problem! Even walked up the same road as you but where you went up the steep climb we took a right along a different path. Far too much heather everywhere and practically nowhere to put a tent up. We ended up heading up and past Tosson hill towards a shooting hut we'd be told about that had a grassy area but were running out of light and on the way found a tiny little pitch that we managed to make do. I'll definitely be doing scouting missions the next time I head into Northumberland because of how unusable a lot of the land is due to the heather. They can't all be wins mate 👍🏻

Your right mate, I’ve camped there at least 6/7 times before but decided to go a different route for some reason! Anyway lesson learned 🤣 TC 🤙🏻

gutted for you mate, I like the way you present your video and it is very watchable. better luck next time tho in finding a suitable pitch, on my first solo wild camp it was a perfect location but I had a dehydrated meal which didn't taste right but I ate it anyway as it was all I had to eat, bad mistake as I had the most uncomfortable night ever going to the toilet all the time and it made me feel unwell for a few days, not a good Experience. anyway all the best mate, Twin Peak - Simon

Enjoyed that in a sad way, I went there and tried to camp a few year ago, ended up in a lumpy pitch on heather running out of light 🤣
