With the temperatures dropping it was time to dust off the ‪@POMOLY‬ Leo 2 tent and the Traveller 3 stove. Returning to the same site I first tried this set up, exactly a year ago. Was good to give everything a test prior to the onset of winter.

Mighty Fraser, such a cosy setup you’ve got there. That is a great spot, I watch the charity shop tent one from there as well. A massive thank you for the shout out, very much appreciated, the video you where watching I think was our coldest camp, a hot tent would have been lovely for that one 😂. I love the thought of cooking over that stove, that would be class. Keep the videos coming mate 👍

@@GeoffGreenawayOutdoors cheers, with the longer nights, sitting chilling and catching up with channels is great. In summer I can’t sit still. No problem with the mention, I’m getting to know Norn Iron. The set up is great, only had the stove ticking over, can get it glowing. Stove is great for keeping a cuppa warm indefinitely, not that I drink that much tea or coffeee 😂It’s a bit of a graft taking logs and all the gear on the bike, but worth it - save a lot of time and better than carrying. It’s a great spot, there’s more options on that loch too - bike,hike or kayak to them. I’m trying to vary locations, tents or transport used as much as I can. Thanks for watching, it’s appreciated.

@@cowalexplorer we are the same in the summer months, all buzz but hopefully in the darker nights we get to chill out more. No need to drink tea or coffee if you’ve got the beers in 😂. I was going to say is it a heavy bit of equipment if you take the logs in with you, fair play for doing that. It’s good for the videos using different methods of transport, I like seeing different ways in and out.

@@GeoffGreenawayOutdoors was almost taking the whisky , but that’s dangerous as up early next day, no control 😂. Taking logs is a nightmare, but least you know you have it and you don’t need to go wood scavenging in the dark. Most of the trees here are spruce, too sparky. 🪵🔥👍

What a set up Fraser. I keep toying with the same hot tent as that one. Definitely want to get into hot tenting this winter. Lovely detail in the set up. Nice to see you on the desperados too 😜. Can’t get the cans yet in my locals so I need to go hunting when I come north.

@@Moffatmountainadventures Desperados are everywhere here, local corner shop, co-op, garages. It’s a great tent, works well with the stove and roomy enough. Too big for one, but I like the free standing element and lower profile than teepee when it comes to heating.
