well, it's really nice seeing an older guy still getting out. I'm 62 and just started getting into backpacking 2 years ago, and even with my health problems, I feel so much better after a walk in the woods. I am happy to subscribe to your channel and look forward to more adventures. Dwayne

Not over the hill yet mate , I enjoyed that. Thanks. It’s somewhere I’ve yet to visit hopefully this year along with Cross Fell ATB 🍻

Thanks for watching Dave, Cross Fell is certainly worth a visit, it’s not as dramatic as High Cup but some great views.

Another great video Dave .. You had a fab day for it and the scenery was stunning ! Also very interesting learning how High Cup was formed - I’ve just been reading up on it and apparently the Nick part is named after an old cobbler from Dufton who used to climb up there to do some of his work ! 😊👍🏼

Thanks for watching Graham, yes it was a great day and evening up there, the next morning not so good but really enjoyed it.

Awesome Dave. I love HC. Genuinely one of the best places in England for me. Tops anything in the Lakes. Liked the geology too. 😎

Thanks Chris, first time up there hopefully it won’t be the last, I’ve just graduated from the university of google with a first in geology.

Cracking camera work , Mate. Cracking video Mate. A place I would love to get back to Haswell.

Thanks for watching Andrew, I can assure you the camera work is down to the equipment, incidentally my father was born in Haswell Plough.

@@overthehillwildcamper I made a mistake when I was typing the message. It should be as well not Haswell. I used to live near Haswell and Haswell Plough when I was younger. Very quite places now .

Great video, being going through your back catalog and really enjoying them. I noticed you have a 3ful gear back pack, how have you found it using it with out the mat in the back? Been looking at getting one but not sure about having the mat in it. Keep up the great work
@overthehillwildcamper10 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching and regards to Ted, I had the foam mat in the back the first few times but it did get a bit sweaty. I now use a 3mm Thinny from Atom pack but I position it inside the pack along with my Thermarest sleep mat folded so that it’s similar inside than if it was outside. I find that comfortable ATB Dave.
@MeandTedsadventures10 ай бұрын
@@overthehillwildcamper thank you for that, seen it with the mat on the outside and it did not look the most comfortable pushing the weight away from your back. Keep up the great work.
