Well if you ever plan a trip to Montana you can always reach out and stay in this truck. We rent it out. People do really like that it's a fully hard sided camper. Definitely safer than just a tent if bears come around.

I’m from nw Montana. This looks like mid hunting season ( early November). We used to camp in a lot more severe weather than this with a Bronco and tarp as a lean to tent. Now we use travel trailers and 5th wheels, we all have generators. My Dad would roll over in his grave. Still, we have fun.
@WildRoverBozeman10 ай бұрын
Sadly because this winter has been so warm this is actually February conditions. We usually have so much more snow. Both ways of camping are fun your right. Staying in a camper definitely changes the overall trip experience a lot. As long as you’re getting out there and having fun that’s the goal.

Hey thank you so much. I would have to agree, I'm not a huge fan of the kitchen or storage cubby build out from the factory. You'll have to let me know once you get your Kimbo. I think they are the best truck bed campers on the market right now. Highly recommend them.

@@WildRoverBozeman Will do! Not sure if you've ever seen KZbinr LizAmazing. She makes videos reporting on folks who are having tons of issues with their brand new RV's due to poor build quality. I feel so bad for these people, many who are retired and spend $$$ only to end up with a POS. Latest one is a guy who spent $800K and is having all kinds of issues. Kimbo's look to be rock solid in build quality and straight forward which is why I love them so much.

@WildRoverBozeman10 ай бұрын
That’s awesome to hear man. A fellow Kimbo brother haha. Yeah my brother and I built out the kitchen and the cubby. I really like how it turned out and it was way more cost effective than getting it done as an option from Kimbo. Plus I just wasn’t a big fan of how Kimbo designed their kitchen.

@@WildRoverBozeman Just curious for the sink, did you guys drill a hole for the water drain or do you have a collection underneath?
@WildRoverBozeman10 ай бұрын
I use two Dometic jugs. One for grey water collection and the other for fresh water. Drilling is an option but to keep camp clean I opted for collecting. Collecting also works better for winter camping.

How does she fair in the cold weather!? No issues? Thanks
@WildRoverBozeman5 ай бұрын
The Kimbo is amazing in cold weather with the stove. That Dickinson stove works almost too good. The only issue I have in cold weather is if the inside is warm and the outside is cold you'll get condensation build up on the twistable screw heads that hold on the insulation panels. But I mean Kimbo can't change the laws of thermo dynamics so I guess I can just deal with it haha. And it's really not that big of a deal. I typically just bring a small rag and wipe them down every now and then.

Hello from Ireland btw 🇮🇪☘️ Edit:what are the little balls of that you first started frying? And what’s the deal with the huge fire? I presume you didn’t make it 😅
@WildRoverBozeman10 ай бұрын
Hey Tara, those are actually skillet gnocchi. Basically just made from potatoes. And yeah the huge fire was a prescribed burn being done by the Montana Forest Service. They do small burns of dead trees and brush during the winters to help prevent massive forest fires in the summer.
@TaraTiaraBell10 ай бұрын
@@WildRoverBozeman it’s cool you got to be there for that fire. And yes gnocchi I’ve heard of it I never knew it was made from spuds 🥔 but it looks delicious 😋 I make a chicken pasta and the sauce looks very like your sauce but I used chilli pesto instead of tomato and it’s unreal. I know what I’ll be cooking tomorrow, it’s on my mind now.

I do, a TRD OR that I"ve done up for the extra weight. A couple of questions: Do you travel with the stands? Do you use the de-humidifier in the Kimbo? @@WildRoverBozeman
@WildRoverBozeman10 ай бұрын
I took off the stands since I keep the Kimbo on there year round. Taking them off saves probable 125LBS which helps the payload situation. And I have tried the dehumidifier but I found it just uses a good amount of power and doesn't really work that effectively. You're better off just cracking some windows and turning on the roof vent to knock humidity down in the winter.
