When I watch these videos, I see lots of things to like about the homes. However, I don’t think it would be possible for me to adjust to the ultra limited space. The small sofa, with no room for a comfortable chair is a deal breaker. I cannot be constantly on the go. Still very fun to see what other people are doing.

Indigo River Tiny Homes is one of the only builders in the nation that offers a big exterior storage shed and split level lofts! Their craftsmanship is impressive! Decathlon Tiny Homes is another popular builder in the Dallas area as well. Their builds are not as customizable but are a lot more affordable!

Many refrigerators are designed so that you can change the hinge side. Often the clue to this will be some little decorator bit placed symmetrically opposite the handle. Ask a repair man or Google it.

I've watched hundreds of tiny home videos and this one is probably the most thought out and practical. I love it, but the $170K is kinda steep for a tiny. I guess if I'm making it my forever retirement, I'd want to get everything I want from the start. Nicely done.

I love your home. Its adorable, cozy, airy and fits all your needs. Love rhe colors chosen for your home as well. Every one just slaps white on the walls and call it a day. I understand why many do white. Makes rhe place look bigger. Your whites is more on rhe grey side. So it doesnt look so steril. Like an emergency operating room. I cant stamd steril looking homes. Its not cozy or comfy. I like homes with so,e color. So rhat way when you come home you can just relax amd not feel like you have to shower wash your hands 3xs before touching anything. Sure you can cozy up with color in window treaments, blankets furniture etc.. in so,e cases it stil feels steril. Anyway ro one furbaby momma ro another, its always a great idea to have a furbaby room even though it maybe shared. How ever furbabies also need a place ro go ro bet away from others in the home. Just like us we need some alone time, a place ro heal if sick, or just in a crappy mood. I also rhink its funny thaat the inly rv in the home is in the one bedroom and rhe only being using it is rhe cat. Lol. My cats also watch tv. They like the weather channel and ani al planet,and some ither shows. Its funny to bevause if rhey doent like something in tv, they demand atttentiom or actuall step on the remote ro change channels its hilarious to. Makes my hubby mad whem rhey change rhe channel. I get mad somettimes to if im really into a movie or show. Well i get exasperated more so than mad. Tonyjust gets so aggravated Picks up the cat and moves her. Lol. Any way love your home. Bath room is gorgeous. I remember too rhose days of soaking in the tub after a gruelimg practice or gaame for baskettball, soft ball, track and dancing. Muscles have ro be abke ro heal and relqx for proper blood flow.

I love looking at tiny homes, but know that I couldn't live that way for long. I'm still confused about what seems to be the expense to building a nice one (around $200k) and still having to pay a lot fee of close to $600 per month? Imo, buying a small home on small acreage is more cost efficient. What am I missing?

Seriously, though, it's funny, especially people who are actually old, don't go around saying that they're old and broken every 10 minutes. Wait until she's 60! Well… perhaps it’s not actually a “long term” through all the phases of your life build unless, of course, you remain single and/or rarely have guests. It won’t matter the fridge door orientation wasn’t originally designed for or taken into consideration (it was an oversight) since the bathroom should theoretically not be occupied when you need to get into it. I’d be extremely upset if I had a custom build that cost me $170,000 and nobody caught my insistence on using my vintage refrigerator. Nowadays it is easy to switch handles but that’s not how they were made back when. Well… the whole thing is a kerfuffle. She’s got the right attitude… I’ll just walk into the bathroom rather than spend $1000. Oh, wait. Maybe not. If you’ve spent the $170,000, what’s another $500 (I say $500 because the designers should have at least asked about the dimensions AND door orientation or caught the problem or extended an offer to split the cost). I suspect eventually that special order door handle will be on its way. The overall tiny home is spectacular. ;)

What IRH accomplished with an 8.5ft wide build is impressive. I’m still a fan of 10ft wides and would probably go that route, but there is nothing bad I can say scout this tiny home. Spacing is good (I definitely love the upstairs bedrooms have clearance for 6ft and above), and she has a full bath with soaking tub. Great video and walkthrough by her!
