I agree with you. If I had the money to buy that car, I would definitely change the pony logo on the steering wheel to the new Snake logo. It baffles my mind why they would leave a pony logo on a Super Snake!

The car your seeing is a prototype which means this Mustang is subject to changes like the steering wheel logo. I'm also not sure if you realize Shelby American will only be manufacturing 250 Super Snakes. Regarding the next GT500. Ford announced in Dearborn MI during the introduction of the S650 Mustang that the new S650 GT500 would be introduced in 2025 as a 2026 model.

Do we know if they are putting better internals in the motor then the stock 5.0? I honestly agree with what you are saying but I do not think it is worth over $70. I could go buy a 2023 GT500 for 90k so why would anyone want to pay that much more for basically a GT???? It is crazy

I don’t want to say 100% they’re not but 99.9% they’re running stock internals since I know they would’ve been bragging about it. And yeah I think ppl would much rather buy a 2020 gt500 and have over 50k leftover for mods.

All those mistakes you said are cheap for them to correct I agree with you $150 for a scooped up gt screw it build,your own get One for 50k brand new and drop 50 in body kit engine work custom interior suspension…

Agree with your sentiments. Amazing car, but the value for the price isn't there IMO. Good, bad, or indifferent FoMoCo own the GT350 and GT500 marques and I don't think they're going let them go to waste. If I was in the market, I'd wait for a new Shelby variant. That Cobra emblem on the car carries a lot of weight to a lot of people. Great content as usual.

Me personally, I would spend the money on a 6 speed trans GT with a whipple supercharger and a Tremec transmission with brenbo brakes and suspension upgrades. I know it is not a Shelby, but it would be close and save about 100k

I believe what you said about steering wheel. I believe sport seats are an option on the base car, so Shelby probably has a plan for that. I haven't seen a cost on the car, but 150k seems about right, if not a bit moore. I am pricing a new Saleen with about every option and it is comparable in price. I think the engine is stock motor to keep from having to recertify car for smog legality. It would have delayed production and probably drove cost up even more. I mean 800 plus on the street and 50 state legal is impressive.

I never thought about the smog that’s a good point. The problem is I don’t believe the gt has forged internals like the gt500s are known to have and they didn’t mention anything about changing the internals for the new super snake. I still love the car, let’s hope for a fair price haha

Pretty sure these tuner will figure that out quickly they always have. Plus you can always go standalone
