Thank you for making this video! (You'd be surprised at how many goobers think just slap a whipple charger on and that's it! No, you still have a basic GT that has dropped in value the second you drove it off the lot. And the only person who knows that your car is a little faster is YOU sitting an a basic GT...) Thank you for actually doing your research on the car itself and what Shelby is trying accomplish with this latest version of the Super Snake. I talked to a verified Ford dealer who has exclusive rights to sell Shelby vehicles (very popular on Instagram) that being said he said that there were a couple of reasons that the engine is the MT-82 Coyote V8. One is the cost that would be associated with a the Predator (GT500) engine would add at least 30K to the already 160K tab! (yes, they have the Code red but only produced 10 of them, and all 10 sold out. But could you imagine if they produced say 1000 or 3000 of them? No way they sell them all! Not at 225K for a mustang no sir!) Second reason was that they can only take what Ford offers for the kind of engine, meaning Ford being Ford if the Super Snake is THAT much better than the Dark Horse or whatever that probably would hurt sales on that vehicle (essentially). Again bottom line is cost. Which is also why they refused to redesign the steering wheel to have the Cobra on the steering wheel instead of the pony. Which of course those of us buying the Super Snake would strongly prefer! Again Ford owns a lot of the rights to certain things up to and including the name GT500 (by itself) Sorry for the long reply but to sum it up he said it all comes down to price (money) like most things these days. 🤑

All that, and it STILL runs that MT82. For that tag, it should be coming with the TR3160.

@@theemptygarage yeah, i'm confused as to why. Unless Ford and Getrag have done something amazing things to that gearbox, 830hp will kill those D4D MT82's pretty quickly.

I don't get why people are yapping about how this generation Mustang is not good, the s197, s550 and the s650 come with the same V-8. Unlike other car brands like let's say Mercedes, they had very good engines in their AMG's in the 2000's, now they offer only 4.0 and 2.0 fartcans

It is a 10 price increases for the saw trim and option car that is why

The problem is they are still holding back the performance info while promising it can do it all. I am a solid fan but that data needs to be released.

All that money and you’re still stuck with the Chinese made MT82.. They should have used the Dark Horse for the base or put the Tremec in themselves. I have a GT350 and my buddy has a GT. The difference in the shift experience is night and day.
