I assume the video refers to the French fairy tale, similar to how "The Little Prince" was based on the famous storybook, which would explain the 18th century look (I think in the fairy tale the prince was the bird though ...)

I rarely like ballads, but I love this song and performance, more than Wookie's previous solo stuff. Also loved Yesungs last solo comeback. Personally, Kyuhyun is less my thing, both his music and his voice, but technically he's just as great, of course. All three of them together is heaven, and I always love their little solo parts in SuJu. But I must say that musically Ryeowook seemed really central in Super Show 6, which only fully comes out if you watch the whole thing, he's like the glue that holds everything together, and they've also said that he's really important. You might want to have a listen to Ryeowook's recent duet with Zhoumi, "Starry Night" (a former member of SuJu M).

@@robertoreacts Not radically different, like KRY in general it's mostly ballads. But as you say yourself this one is extra special somehow, compared to songs of others, and it's true for his own songs as well. I'd say it's jazzier, both more delicate but also more mature. If you like this - and we seem to agree on most things! - I think you'll also like Yesung's "Phantom Pain" and "Corazón Perdido" :). I also like Yesung's bubble gum pop "Pink Magic" and Wookie's "Foxy Girl", it's quite funky! (but perhaps that's just me ...)

Oh and since you regard Baekhyun as underrated as a dancer and compliment Wookie's looks: It's obvious that dancing is not Wookie's favorite thing, but he's also quite good when he wants to be, and he had two surprise dance solos in SuJu concerts, a cover of "Moves Like Jagger" by Maroon 5 in SS4, and a vogueing, almost strip-club like number (without taking any clothes off) in SS8 set to instrumental music ("KRY dance break"). Both performances totally brought the house down, he absolutely killed it. And as for another surprise: Wookie's voice sounds really good together with Leeteuk's, they had some singing parts together in songs. Not saying he's as good, but in the higher register their voices have a similar quality, that angelic tone. Their bit together in "Heads Up" gives me goosebumps.

This surprised me a little because it's the kind of song I'd probably expect to hear from Yesung (particularly after his last solo album). Ryeowook does it so well though. It's a great song. He has such an amazing voice and he can sing pretty much anything. You should probably start checking out some of their solo stuff. Yesung's last album was absolute gold. Phantom Pain, Beautiful Night and Corazon Perdido all have videos and are absolutely gorgeous. Kyuhyun has lots of solo songs as well. For him I'd recommend Daystar, Dreaming, Moving On and for something a little different, Together.

Yesung's last solo release is also my fav SuJu solo so far. But this song wouldn't be for him, only the breathy, jazzy quality, I can see what you mean, but it's extremely high even for Wookie, and that is a huge part of the effect, so putting it into another key wouldn't be the same. Yesung's best range is much lower, even though it never ceases to amaze me how well all Korean male idols sing in a high voice, including him. In his part in "Devil" they made how his voice cracks when he shifts to the head voice and wants to make even that sound grainy part of the effect. It's actually surprising that his voice isn't completely ruined by now, as happens to many western pop singers.

@@kl2894 I wasn't thinking about the meaning either, nor did I mean that Yesung's not an equally good singer, or that he couldn't do it, just that it would have to be in a different key, and then it wouldn't be the same. That's why they put people with different natural vocal ranges in groups, to create harmonies. Or in opera people's natural voice ranges make them suited for some roles and not others. In K-Pop people get praised mostly for singing high notes. Sure those stand out and they are beautiful, but other things are just as important, difficult and beautiful. Yesung has an almost blues rock kind of voice, which is very unusual in K-Pop, he was mentored by Yoo Young Jin to learn it. People didn't like it at first! Wookie could't sing that way, nor can Yesung sing like Wookie, and that's a good thing, it each makes them special. Same goes for Kyuhyun.

@@aligensa I think you're still misunderstanding me a bit. I agree with you. Their voices are all different (but complementary). I don't think that Yesung should sing this, or would be comfortable singing this. I just meant that Yesung seems to like that jazzy sound and he has sung some songs with a similar sort of sound or maybe vibe. That's all. Definitely not that this song would be more suited to Yesung. Yesung is my bias, but I love all the Suju members and I love Wookie's voice and what he brings to the group and his solo songs.

honestly number 1 is Ryeowook, I like all the songs in his 3 albums and this album feels special....Then Yesung, in his last album all the songs are the best....
