The 11th Festival of Pacific Arts was held in Solomon Islands in 2012, and traditional war canoes called Tomoko gathered from New Georgia Island, Solomon Islands, to the capital Honiara where the main venue of the festival was set. Tomoko was used for head hunting and slave capture until the beginning of the 20th century, but nowadays, demonstrations of the battle such as paddling and landing to catch treasure are a tourism resource on the island. Here, we will introduce paddling men.
