Thank you for this genuine view of your experiences on board. I particularly loved the foggy nights and the fog-horn - very romantic. You’re right to pick up the different ‘stable’ of Cunard vs the other cruise liners. Cunard is a real ocean-going ship with a hull designed to deal with ocean waves, whereas the big walls of balconies are I believe flat-bottomed vessels designed to go into shallow harbours and would really struggle out in the ocean. I have sailed Cunard a couple of times - first on the original Queen Mary and then on the QE2. Both times from Southampton to New York City. Thanks again, it was almost as good as being there…

The QE is truly a splendid ship; beautiful and elegant throughout! I envy your Queens Grill experience. It looks superb! I was on the QE last August for 16 days, but in a Britannia stateroom. I truly loved afternoon tea every afternoon in the ballroom; elegant attentive service and delicious sandwiches and pastries at all times. And the Britannia Restaurant: so beautiful! With good food and fine wines! The only downsides of my sailing on the QE was the chaos in the Lido buffet, and people dressed as if they were home on a slum day. In the Lido I had to go in search of silverware and salt and pepper shakers every day. Not a single Lido ice machine was working for the entire voyage. The drinking glasses provided were too small. Regarding clothing, in the Lido I saw people dressed in a bathrobe, in tank tops, a guy wearing no shirt at all (Guys, we really do not want to see your hairy shoulders.) At night in the ballroom I saw guys wearing only a tee shirt, and also women wearing cargo pants and sandals. Come on, people, if you don't appreciate the classy atmosphere which Cunard is trying to provide you, book a cruise on Carnival. All this notwithstanding, I have fond memories of this beautiful ship!

Thank you for producing this video. We recently came off the Queen Elizabeth from a 10-day Alaska cruise. We had an almost identical suite in Queens Grill - on a lower deck. It was our fifth time on the Queen Elizabeth and one of the best cruises we have had in 51 years. I still miss it a lot and wish I was back on board what is now our favourite ship. We don't always travel in Queens Grill. We have also enjoyed Britannia and Princess Grill on the QE and all four categories on the Queen Mary 2. An extra thank you for not adding music to your video. We enjoy the ambient sounds of being on a ship.

Absolutely agree with the enrichment of ambient sound. All appears more in the mood of reality on board.

Glad you managed with all your luggage . Have watched some of your trips before . $10k is a fair amount . This time you had a 'camera assistant' :-) Nearly 2 weeks :-) about $300/day/person . , I know you did pay some extras , was all the other food included ? Having a balcony in that climate is moot :-) Cabin is for sleeping and showering . Great ensuite . Really big boat and plenty of excursions , which could be done from a smaller cabin :-) The glacier tour was a MUST ! This was not just a crossing , this was a 'tour ' and all it had to offer . I would have put on several kgs :-)

I’ve always seen caviar eaten using an ivory spoon to put a blob of caviar on the blini, then top with egg, etc. & eat with fingers. Never use a metal fork or spoon to eat caviar, it changes the taste.

Although I don't eat caviar, the way you describe it is the way it has been served on the Queen Mary 2 in Queens Grill. I am surprised it was served the way it was on the Queen Elizabeth.

Nice movie, nice description of the ship with all the possibilities. Even when I was young and worked in the port of Haifa on patrol ships, we were not allowed to visit this ship because they were afraid of hostile activity by the Irish underground. I always knew that this ship was of a very high standard and there were quite a few cruise ships that were luxury ships (France, Rotterdam, Europa) and more. I was caught by your explanation about "free" food or drink. Those who pay so much money for such a tour should not be excited about spending a little on the ship. In my opinion, this ship is in the category of luxury ships even though it is "old". All new and modern ships can envy this ship. good trip
I was in your same Penthouse suite and sat in your same seat in the Queen’s Grills restaurant two weeks after you got off the ship for an Alaska voyage. You made a well done video but some editing to cut out excess would help us watch it better. Thank you and good camera work!
